Modern Family actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his husband Justin Mikita are expecting their first child and the baby’s crib was built by one of their friends!

Brothers & Sisters and Killjoys actor Luke Macfarlane constructed a custom-made crib for the couple and he shared some photos on his Instagram account.

“Finished the crib, and giving to my dear friends @jessetyler @justinmikita,” Luke captioned the slideshow. “you are going to be great fathers I hope it brings your new family member good slept when they arrive soon …also Thanks to @craftedworkshop for the inspiration on the build. I made a few changes:) AND respect for anybody who can tell me what the engraved quote is from.”

The quote that is engraved on the crib is from Act II, Scene I of the Shakespeare play Much Ado About Nothing. Jesse and Justin were at the opening night performance of the most recent production of the play last summer in New York City.

Celebrities are calling out and reacting to the Trump Administration allowing a bill to move forward to the Supreme Court which would give adoption agencies the right to refuse LGBTQ couples to adopt a child.

In the bried, that was filed this week, the DOJ is arguing that “cities should not be able to protect LGBTQ+ couples from discrimination by religious organizations.”

It all dates back to 2018 when Catholic Social Services sued the city of Philadelphia. CSS refused to place a child with a same sex couple, which went against their contract with the city that stated they must abide by nondiscrimination policies.

The case is now pending before the U.S. Supreme Court.

The DOJ’s brief claims that “The City impermissibly targeted religious organizations … the city focused only on religious agencies, making just a single inquiry to a secular foster-care agency. … City officials made no effort to determine whether other secular agencies perform home studies for everyone who requests them.”

Many celebs are slamming the administration for allowing the case to go to the Supreme Court at all.

“Tax dollars should not be used to discriminate. Period,” Pete Buttigieg, who is gay and a former Presidential hopeful, wrote on Twitter in regards to the news.

The opening night performance of the new Broadway musical Girl from the North Country had so many stars on the red carpet on Thursday (March 5) at the Belasco Theatre in New York City.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson and husband Justin Mikita‘s baby shower was a star-studded event!

The dads-to-be were joined by friends including Sofia Vergara, Sarah Hyland, and Lisa Rinna at their shower on Saturday afternoon (February 16) in Los Angeles.

Other stars at the party included Colton Haynes, singer Betty Who, and celeb hairstylist Jen Atkin.

During the party, guests were treated to a surprise performance by a group of male synchronized swimmers.

Sofia took to Instagram to share a few photos from the shower.

“Congratulations Jesse and Justin!!!❤️❤️❤️👶👶👶 we luv iuu!!!” Sofia wrote.

Late last month, Jesse and Justin announced they were expecting their first child together!

Anya Taylor-Joy is chic and sophisticated while striking a pose at the special screening of her latest film Emma held at the Whitby Hotel on Tuesday evening (February 4) in New York City.

The 23-year-old actress was joined at the event by her co-star Bill Nighy, director Autumn de Wilde, Focus Features chairman Peter Kujawski, vice chairman Jason Cassidy and president Robert Walak.

Also in attendance in support of the screening was Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, Justin Mikita, Manifest star Luna Blaise and Tony winner Lena Hall.

Here’s a synopsis for the film: “Handsome, clever, and rich, Emma Woodhouse is a restless queen bee without rivals in her sleepy little town.
