Director Judd Apatow is receiving some backlash for tweeting about Bill Cosby throughout the investigation into rape allegations made against him.
Black-ish creator Kenya Barris took to Twitter earlier this week to call him out for his “strangely obsessive” opinions on the topic.
While Kenya made it clear he was not defending Cosby, he asked Judd to “stop showing the most fucked off 1 sided view of black people n every thing you ever do.’
Judd tweeted, “I don’t know if his criticism of me is accurate. I just hate rapists. But we look like the exact same person!”
He later directly responded to Kenya, writing, “I don’t think you are defending him. I have more info. Follow me and I will talk to you about it.”
This is the tweet that started the exchange:
@JuddApatow – dude. Enough. Not defending him AT ALL, but u do realize this borders on strangely obsessive, right? Where was ur#EricGarner
