Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson is opening up about his past suicidal thoughts and how Kid Cudi‘s 2009 album Man on the Moon saved him when he was a teenager.

“Cudi’s the best of all. He saved my life. I would’ve killed myself if I didn’t have Kid Cudi,” the 22-year-old comedian told The Breakfast Club radio show on Tuesday (October 25) (via Us Weekly). “I would’ve killed myself. Absolutely 100 percent. I truly believe if Man on the Moon didn’t come out, I wouldn’t be here.”

Kid Cudi recently checked himself into a treatment program for suicidal thoughts.

“It’s kind of comforting to know your hero goes through the same stuff you do. I think that’s why a lot of kids my age can relate to Cudi and people love him so much is because he’s a very emotional dude,” Pete said, adding that they are in communication. “I texted with him last Monday, and he’s in really good spirits. I think I might go see him next week. But he’s in a good place.”

Kid Cudi has announced that he has checked into rehab to battle with depression and suicidal urges.

The 32-year-old rapper and actor, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, wrote an emotional note to his fans on Facebook in which he talked about his issues and promised that his new album is still on the way.

“Its been difficult for me to find the words to what Im about to share with you because I feel ashamed. Ashamed to be a leader and hero to so many while admitting I’ve been living a lie. It took me a while to get to this place of commitment, but it is something I have to do for myself, my family, my best friend/daughter and all of you, my fans,” Scott started off the note.

“I am not at peace. I haven’t been since you’ve known me. If I didn’t come here, I wouldve done something to myself. I simply am a damaged human swimming in a pool of emotions everyday of my life,” he continued. “Theres a ragin violent storm inside of my heart at all times. Idk what peace feels like. Idk how to relax. My anxiety and depression have ruled my life for as long as I can remember and I never leave the house because of it. I cant make new friends because of it. I dont trust anyone because of it and Im tired of being held back in my life. I deserve to have peace. I deserve to be happy and smiling. Why not me? I guess I give so much of myself to others I forgot that I need to show myself some love too. I think I never really knew how. Im scared, im sad, I feel like I let a lot of people down and again, Im sorry. Its time I fix me. Im nervous but ima get through this.”

Kanye West and Drake have responded to a series of tweets in which Kid Cudi accused the two rappers of using ghost writers for their songs.

“The days of the f–kery are over,” the 32-year-old “Pursuit of Happiness” rapper tweeted on Wednesday (September 14), adding, “The fake ones wont be lasting too much longer.”

“My tweets apply to who they apply. Ye, Drake, whoever. These ni–as dont give a f–k about me. And they aint f–kin with me,” he went on. “Ive been loyal to those who haven’t been to me and that ends now. Now im your threat.”

Kanye – who has signed Kid Cudi to his GOOD Music label and worked with him on several songs, including “All of the Lights” and “Father Stretch My Hands” – called out Kid Cudi during his Saint Pablo show that same night.

“Do you know how many people wish they could be signed to GOOD Music, get their life changed, have an opportunity?” Kanye told the crowd. “Never forget that! I am so hurt. I feel so disrespected. Kid Cudi, we are two black men in a racist world. I got called names before you, bruh. Why y’all gotta be coming at me? This ain’t the end of the Malcolm X movie. I’m out here fighting for y’all creators, artists, independent thinkers. Don’t never mention my name in a bad manner, none of y’all.”

Drake had some words for Kid Cudi as well during his own Summer Sixteen concert on Wednesday.

“Boy, you getting way too high, you need to Cud-it!” he announced, referring to O.T. Genasis’ “Cut It.” “I heard boys were talking down today. Shout out to my brother Kanye West. We both got sold-out shows.”

Olivia Wilde and her partner Jason Sudeikis hit the red carpet for the Meadowland premiere held at Sunshine Landmark on Sunday evening (October 11) in New York City.

The 31-year-old actress was joined at the event by her co-stars Luke Wilson and Juno Temple, as well as Kid Cudi and Kelly Rutherford. Director Reed Morano was also seen on the red carpet.
