Norman Reedus & Andrew Lincoln Get Messy for The Walking Dead's EW Cover!

Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus get so very messy while eating red velvet cake on the cover of EW‘s The Walking Dead season 8 preview issue and 100th episode celebration!

Also on separate covers were co-stars Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, and Melissa McBride.

“I think that last season was very painful for everybody,” Andrew told the mag. “And now you get a certain sense of a reclaiming of the old show and the swagger.”

About the show’s success, Norman said, “I never thought we would get this far. I don’t think any of us did. This show has been such a big part of our lives. It always felt like we were living it. The tears are real. The bruises are real. The friendships are real. The lines between reality and being on this show are super blurry sometimes, and it’s a big achievement for us. We’re really proud of the work that we’ve done, and it’s been a giant hard-fought blessing.”

The Walking Dead's Lauren Cohan on Season Finale: It's 'Heartbreaking'

The Walking Dead‘s Lauren Cohan looks stunning in this new photo shoot for HarpersBazaar.com.

Here’s what the 35-year-old The Walking Dead star had to share with the mag:

On what the female Walking Dead characters have in common: “These women are smart not to flaunt their strengths right away. They think, ‘While you were looking in the other direction, we were listening and learning.’ We pay attention and fortify ourselves.”

On the season seven finale: “You’re certainly in for a lot of emotion. [It's] incredibly bittersweet, beautiful, and heartbreaking.”

On saying goodbye to the dead characters with “death dinners”: “It’s funny when I stop to think about calling them death dinners. It’s such a frequent part of our lingo that I forget how absurd it is, like spying on your own funeral. We’ve had some of our best nights together at them. There’s always a lot of tears, but we also have bonfires and play games and get to tell the family member leaving how much we love them”and, you know, completely embarrass them.”

The Walking Dead is getting ready for even bigger and better things in season eight!

The cast, including Andrew Lincoln, Lauren Cohan, Melissa McBride and Christian Serratos stepped out at PaleyFest on Friday (March 18) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

During the panel discussion, showrunner Scott M. Gimple opened up about the show’s next season.

“The first episode [of season eight] is less about that we’ve reached 100 episodes; it’s more about setting up the next 100 episodes,” he explained.

Scott added, “The end of this season is very much the end of a chapter; it’s a conclusion that promises this epic story ahead. The first episode of season eight…it’s about setting up this gigantic epic tale to come not only in season eight but beyond.”

Zachary Quinto Calls Out Trump Over Transgender Bathroom Decision At Oscar Wilde Awards 2017!

Zachary Quinto has spoken out to send a message to President Donald Trump after he made the decision to lift federal protections for transgender students, which were put in place by the Obama administration.

The 39-year-old actor urged the public to “fight for people who are striving to find their way in this world” while being honored at the US-Ireland Aliiance’s 2017 Oscar Wilde Awards held at Bad Robot on Thursday (February 23) in Santa Monica, Calif.

“I feel like as far as we’ve come in the last 120 years, there are protests going on tonight about the reversal of protections for transgender children in this country,” Zachary continued. “I believe it is all of our responsibilities to stand up and be authentic and be visible and fight for people who are striving to find their way in this world, even if it is not reflected back in the same way as everybody else. Oscar Wilde is someone who taught me that before I even knew it.”

Oscar-nominated actress Ruth Negga, Outlander star Caitriona Balfe, Martin Short, singer-songwriter Glen Hansard also received Oscar Wilde Awards, which recognize the contributions of Irish people in film, television and music.

Also in attendance at the ceremony was Zachary‘s boyfriend Miles McMillan, and Star Trek co-stars Chris Pine, Alice Eve and John Cho, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Sarah Paulson, J.J. Abrams, Lauren Cohan, Sarah Bolger, Shannon Woodward, Amy Shiels and Jason O’Mara.
