Matt Smith flashes a smirk as he arrives at the screening of Mapplethorpe on Thursday night (February 14) at the Cinepolis Chelsea in New York City.

The 36-year-old actor looked handsome in an black suit over a black T-shirt as he promoted his new movie.

Matt was also joined at the screening by his co-stars Eliza Dushku and Marianne Rendon.

Also during the premiere, Eliza revealed that she is pregnant with her first child!

An after-party was held at The Fleur Room, the 35th floor of the new Moxy Chelsea.

Matt Smith is close to signing on to join the cast of Morbius, a spin-off of the Spider-Man franchise.

Jared Leto is set to star in the film as the villainous character, “a scientist who tried to cure himself of a blood disease, with tragic results. He became afflicted with vampiric traits such as fangs and a thirst for blood — and wound up battling Spider-Man.”

It’s not yet known who Matt will play in the film, but Variety reports that he will have a “major role.”

The 36-year-old actor and 29-year-old actress stepped out for the National Youth Theatre Fundraising evening on Monday night (November 26) at Cafe Royal in London, England.

The annual fundraiser helps raise money for the National Youth Theater, which gives young people the opportunity to learn about acting and technical theater as well as about themselves and how to relate to others.
