The 37-year-old country singer-songwriter and the 30-year-old former NYPD officer were spotted making a rare outing together at LAX on Saturday (March 6) in Lo Angeles.
Several of the performers are making their Grammys stage debut, including Harry, Megan and Bad Bunny.
“Artists will be coming together, while still safely apart, to play music for each other as a community and celebrate the music that unites us all,” the announcement reads, adding that the audience will be limited to performers, nominees and a small number of their guests. Here’s more about how the show will work amid the pandemic.
Elle King and Miranda Lambert have teamed up for a fun new duet called “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” and you’ve gotta watch the video they released!
The song was co-written by Elle with Martin Johnson, who also produced the track, and the track was recorded before the pandemic started.
“So bartender, take my keys / What do you want from me? / Baby, I’m drunk and I don’t wanna go home / Not staying in to fight / I’m staying out all night / Baby, I’m drunk and I don’t wanna go home,” they sing in the chorus.
This marks Elle and Miranda‘s second collaboration. They also toured together when Elle was a special guest on Miranda‘s 2019 Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars tour.
The singers filmed the music video in January 2021 by following strict COVID protocols. The 80s-inspired wedding video stars Elle as the bride and Miranda as her Maid of Honor. Watch out for a cameo from Elle‘s real-life fiance as the groom!
“The true story of this song sums up our wild friendship,” Elle said in a statement. “Miranda is someone I have looked up to as a songwriter, musician, performer, and human being for a long time. So our tumbleweed snowball story of getting to know each other is the ultimate real deal kinda thing. Nobody revs me up, kicks my ass on stage, or treats me more like family than Miranda Lambert. Our rowdy reputations proceed us, so who else could sing this song together besides us? Crawling out of such a crazy year, still full of so many unknowns, I ultimately couldn’t think of another person I’d rather come out singin’ and swingin’ with than the most badass chick I know. Miranda.”
Miranda added, “I think this fun song was born from our becoming friends over the last couple of years. We are new friends but it really feels like we are old friends and I felt like that immediately when I met her at one of her shows. Since then, we’ve toured together and sang on stage together, hung out and partied together, recorded together, and so much more. This song just feels like the natural transition to the after party.”

The 37-year-old country singer and the 30-year-old former NYPD officer both took to Instagram on Tuesday (January 26) to share sweet messages in honor of their second wedding anniversary.
2 years hitched!! ❤️ @brendanjmcloughlin #anniversary,” Mirandawrote along with a photo with Brendan from their wedding.
Brendan then also shared a cute photo of Miranda cooking in their kitchen, along with the caption, “Happy anniversary to this amazing woman. @mirandalambert 🔥”
Miranda will be performing her song “Settling Down” during the show tonight. She is also up for seven awards: Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year for Wildcard, Female Vocalist of the Year, Musical Event of the Year for “Fooled Around and Fell in Love,” and Single of the Year, Song of the Year, and Music Video of the Year for “Bluebird.”
“I’m humbled and honored. This is my whole life’s work,” Miranda said of being the most nominated female artist in CMAs history.
The 36-year-old country singer released the video for her song “Settling Down” – and her husband Brendan Mcloughlin appears in it.
In one scene, Brendan goes shirtless baring his ripped abs while cooking with Miranda in their kitchen.
“I’ve never had a video in 18 years in the business with a love interest, and so it’s kinda funny that my husband’s my first one. I’m like, ‘you’re cute, you’re here, and you’re free,’” Miranda shared in an interview on New York’s Country 94.7 about the video.
“It was fun,” Miranda added. “[Brendan] did such a great job… and our little dog is in it, and our ponies. It’s at my magical-happy place an hour away from Nashville.”
The 36-year-old country singer won the award for Music Event of the Year along with her tourmates and this extended her to 35 overall wins at the ACMs.
Back in 2018, Miranda broke the record to become the most-award artist in ACM history and now she has extended the record to 35 wins.
During the show, Miranda took the stage at the Bluebird Cafe, one of the three venues for the awards show, to perform her song “Bluebird.”
There’s a chance that Miranda can push that record even further tonight as she’s also nominated for Album of the Year and Female Artist of the Year.
