Ozzy Osbourne Was Convinced He Was Dying Following Health Issues

Ozzy Osbourne is opening up about his health issues in a brand new interview on SiriusXM.

Last year, the 71-year-old heavy metal singer had several medical issues, including a fall, neck surgery and hospitalization for the flu.

During the virtual interview, Ozzy sat down with wife Sharon and their son Jack and spoke with Jenny McCarthy and shared that he’s still not 100% better.

“I’m not back to 100 percent. I’m about 75 percent there, but it’s such a slow recovery. Spine surgery is bad news, man. I’ve been in such a bad state with pain; I’m still having a lot of pain,” he said.

Ozzy added that “there was a point I was convinced that I was dying. I was in that much discomfort and pain and misery. I thought they were all hiding it from me. I remember saying to Sharon, ‘You’ve gotta level with me. Is it worse than you’re making it out [to be]?’ She says, ‘No.’ … I’ve dropped all the medication for pain now.”

Ozzy is looking forward though to getting back on stage and getting back to a normal life as his health improves and hopefully, the pandemic lessens.

“I cannot wait [to get on stage], but I was talking to Tony Iommi the other day, and he was saying with the way it’s going with this coronavirus, indoor shows will be a thing of the past.”

Ozzy Osbourne Cancels His 2020 Tour Due to Health Issues

Ozzy Osbourne is no longer going on tour in 2020 due to the health issues he has been suffering since early 2019.

The legendary rocker was scheduled to launch his No More Tours 2 tour in late May 2020, but he has decided that he’s going to cancel the tour now so that there are no last-minute cancellations because of his health.

“I’m so thankful that everyone has been patient because I’ve had a shit year,” Ozzy said in a statement. “Unfortunately, I won’t be able to get to Switzerland for treatment until April and the treatment takes six-eight weeks.”

“I don’t want to start a tour and then cancel shows at the last minute, as it’s just not fair to the fans,” he added. “I’d rather they get a refund now and when I do the North American tour down the road, everyone who bought a ticket for these shows will be the first ones in line to purchase tickets at that time.”

Fans who bought tickets for the No More Tours 2 tour will have first access to tickets when a new tour is announced. Refunds are available at the point of purchase, according to Variety.

Ozzy Osbourne Reveals Parkinson's Disease Diagnosis

Famed music legend Ozzy Osbourne has revealed he has Parkinson’s Disease during an interview with him and his wife Sharon on Good Morning America.

“It’s Parkin’s II, which is a form of Parkinson’s,” Sharon said on the show. “There’s so many different type of Parkinson’s. It’s not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination, but it does affect certain nerves in your body.”

“(This year) has been terribly challenging for us all,” Ozzy, 71, said. “I had to have surgery on my neck which screwed all my nerves in. I’ve got numbness down this arm from the surgery. My legs feel going cold, I don’t know if that’s Parkinson’s or what… It’s a weird feeling.”

Ozzy previously spoke about a fall he had last year that which caused him to go downhill.
