MTV's 'The Real World' to Return with Original New York Cast for Paramount+

The beloved MTV series The Real World is returning to television and the show’s original New York cast is coming back.

The cast from the longtime show’s first season will reunite in the same loft they filmed in back in 1992, according to THR.

The new series, The Real World Homecoming: New York, will air on the new streaming service Paramount+ and it will premiere on launch day, March 4. Returning cast members include Becky Blasband, Andre Comeau, Heather B. Gardner, Julie Gentry, Norman Korpi, Eric Nies and Kevin Powell.

MTV Entertainment Group president Chris McCarthy said, “MTV’s The Real World has been credited with creating the reality TV genre and was one of the first series that tackled important and yet unrepresented topics of the time, from HIV/AIDS, race, gender, orientation and religion. With Paramount+ being the home to so many global reality hit franchises, it seems only fitting to bring back the franchise and cast that started it all.”

Paramount+ is the rebrand of CBS All Access and the streaming service will feature content from the ViacomCBS family.
