Jake and Carey star in the movie together while longtime couple Paul and Zoe co-wrote the film and Paul also directed it.

Wildlife earned three nominations at the Independent Spirit Awards – Best First Feature, Best Female Lead for Carey, and Best Cinematography.

The three stars were in attendance at the 2018 Governors Awards on Sunday night (November 18) at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood.

Wildlife is about a teenage boy who must deal with his mother’s complicated responses after his father temporarily abandons them to take a menial and dangerous job. Carey stars in the film, while Paul and Zoe wrote the film together.

Ben Stiller hits the red carpet for the premiere of his new show Escape at Dannemora on Wednesday night (November 14) at the Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center in New York City.

The 52-year-old executive producer of the show was joined at the event the show’s stars Benicio Del Toro, Patricia Arquette, and Paul Dano.

Also stepping out for the event was Ben‘s 16-year-old daughter Ella Olivia Stiller and Patricia‘s longtime boyfriend Eric White.

The Showtime limited series tells the real-life story behind the 2015 Dannemora prison break. The show follows the two convicted murderers who escaped and the 51-year-old woman who helped them. Watch the trailer here!

Zoe Kazan strikes a pose with her husband Paul Dano backstage at the screening of The Ballad of Buster Scruggs held during the 2018 AFI Gala on Sunday (November 11) in Hollywood.

The 35-year-old actress was also accompanied by her friend Grace Gummer, as well as co-stars Saul Rubinek, Stephen Root, Chelcie Ross, Tim Blake Nelson, Grainger Hines, Bill Heck and directors Joel and Ethan Coen.

The screening went on as scheduled despite Netflix axing the red carpet portion, following the horrific shooting at Borderline Bar and in light of the ongoing California wildfires, which continue to rage in Ventura and Los Angeles counties.

“‘Our hearts are with the victims and families of the Borderline shooting and of the California Wildfires.’ As a native Californian, I could not agree more with Netflix’s decision here,” Zoe tweeted.

Carey Mulligan is all smiles at the Paris premiere of her movie Wildlife on Tuesday night (November 6) at UGC Les Halles Cinema in Paris, France.

The Oscar-nominated actress was joined at the event by Paul Dano, who directed the movie.

Carey plays a character who many deem to be unlikable.

“I think she’s just having a really rough week and people are so hard on women,” she told THR. “We’re so tough on women and I think we have such crazy expectations of what is possible and what people can be capable and I think women are capable of extraordinary things, but I think we’re fallible and we make mistakes. I think we’re just not used to seeing that reflected onscreen because we are brought up with fairy tale princess stories.”

Carey added, “We can’t all be perfect all the time so I enjoyed portraying someone who’s just human but trying, and hopefully you still have empathy [for]. I feel protective.”

In the movie, a kindergarten teacher in New York becomes obsessed with one of her students whom she believes is a child prodigy.
