Royal Family's Christmas Day Meal Has Included a 'Corgi' Menu!

The Royal Family makes sure to take good care of all of its Christmas Day guests – including the four-legged ones!

Darren McGrady, one of Queen Elizabeth II’s former chefs, opened up about the family’s holiday meal traditions at Sandringham (the queen’s palace in Norfolk, England) in a recent interview with Yahoo Style UK.

Darren called the feast “a military operation” requiring “months of planning.” The British army has even loaded the equipment and food onto army trucks for the big day.

“I remember the fruit and vegetable supplier: he would have six or 10 cases of pears and we would look them and chose the 12 we wanted,” Darren said. “I thought, ‘this is what it’s all about, using the best ingredients.’”

Christmas Day means “so much food” after church. Food items have included two dozen turkeys (about 30 pounds each), roast potatoes, boar’s head, foie gras, and Christmas puddings.

The children – like Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – eat “smaller,” less seasoned portions separately in the nursery, though it’s “pretty much” the same menu.

The dogs even have even gotten their own special treats, called “the royal corgi’s menu!”

“We had to feed the corgis too,” Darren McGrady said.

This year, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan Markle will reportedly have their own “small Christmas with just immediate family.”

“He said, ‘When George and Charlotte play football, George gets Charlotte to go in goal because he says he is better.’ But Prince William says to him, ‘Charlotte could be as good as you, George, so give her the same chances,’” recalled 14-year-old activist Olivia Hancock.

Prince William & Kate Middleton Respond to Radio Host Who Poked Fun at Princess Charlotte

Prince William and Kate Middleton had a talk with the radio host who poked fun at Princess Charlotte on her first day of school!

BBC 1 host Greg James joked about the little girl after he saw a photo of her shaking hands with her teacher.

While on air, Greg asked, “Who the hell shakes hands with their teacher on the first day?”

Several weeks later, Greg paid a visit to Kensington Palace with Radio 1’s Teen Heroes where he came face to face with Kate and William.

“They said, ‘We were listening on the morning of little Charlotte’s first day, and we want to talk to you about the handshaking thing.’ They’d heard me saying, ‘This school was so posh they had to shake hands with their teacher every day. They were not like that in my day. You were pleased if you got a smile,’” Greg explained to The Mirror.

While Greg didn’t give more away about the conversation, it seems to have ended on a good note.

“I’m sure it’s all absolutely fine,” Greg concluded.

Duchess Kate Middleton Shops for Halloween Costumes, Shocks Customers

Customers were shocked to see Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, aka Kate Middleton, shopping for Halloween costumes with her kids Prince George, 6, and Princess Charlotte, 4, at Sainsbury’s in Hardwick, Cambridgeshire, England.

“She was with Charlotte and George looking at Halloween outfits but her bodyguard was kind of watching people with phones and telling them no pictures. I managed to get the photo as she was at the self service check out,” one shopper told The Mirror. “I didn’t see what she actually bought. I think she bought some Halloween bits for her kids but I don’t know what.”

Another shopper said, “Kate was wearing black trousers and a black polo neck. Charlotte was wearing a little checkered skirt but I couldn’t see anything else. She was saying: ‘Come on kids’ she just understandably wanted to keep them safe.”
