Renee Zellweger is looking beautiful.

The Judy actress hit the red carpet at the 2020 Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday (January 12) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.

Renee is nominated for her role in Judy as Judy Garland for Best Actress.

Make sure to tune in tonight for the Critics’ Choice Awards, hosted by Taye Diggs, which will air on The CW at 7pm EST. The show honors the best in both movies and TV.

Renee Zellweger and Adam Sandler accept the awards for Best Actress and Best Actor for their roles in Judy and Uncut Gems, respectively, at the 2020 AARP Movies for Grownups Awards on Saturday night (January 11) at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Laura Dern was also honored for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Marriage Story – and she received the award from mom Diane Ladd!

Jamie Lee Curtis and Don Johnson were on hand to accept the award for Best Ensemble for their movie Knives Out, Noah Baumbach was honored with Best Screenwriter for Marriage Story, The Farewell‘s Zhao Shuzhen and Tzi Ma accepted the award for Best Intergenerational Film, and Martin Scorsese was honored with the Best Director Award.

Martin was also joined on stage by Robert De Niro when they accepted the award for Best Picture/Best Movie for Grownups for The Irishman.

Annette Bening was supported at the awards show by husband Warren Beatty where she was honored with the Career Achievement award.

Other stars at the event included Adam‘s wife Jackie, Billy Crudup, Alan Alda, Juliette Lewis, Tony Danza, Conan O’Brien, and Finn Wittrock.

Renee Zellweger heads into an office building for an appointment on Monday afternoon (January 6) in Los Angeles.

It was back to normal business after the 50-year-old actress won the Best Drama Movie Actress Golden Globe for her role in Judy at the show over the weekend.

During the award show, some social media users just realized that Renee has a southern accent.

“I was today years old when I found out Renee Zellweger had a thick country accent,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

Another added an explanation for the confusion some were experiencing: “People wondering about Renee Zellweger’s ‘accent’ might wish to consider the following points: 1. We haven’t heard much from her for several years, until this triumphant comeback. Thus, she might seem brand new. 2. She’s from Texas. Really.”

Kathy Griffin just revealed something she never has before about the support she received from Renee Zellweger after the infamous photo she shared of her beheading a Donald Trump replica head.

Kathy posted about what Renee said to her after the 2017 controversy just moments after Renee won the Golden Globe for her work in Judy.

“I’ve never revealed this before but the first day of my infamous trump photo scandal, I got a sweet text from Zellweger. Something like ‘hang in there kid, you got this.’ Please do not attack her for reaching out to me and being genuine. She knows I tease her, but she gets it,” Kathy posted on Twitter.

The 50-year-old actress was awarded Best Actress in a Drama for her role in Judy at the ceremony on Sunday (January 5) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

During her acceptance speech, Renee said it was a “blessing” to portray Judy Garland in the film.

Renee also reflected on the “great personal significance of” Judy‘s “legacy and her humanity.”

“The choices that we make matter, what we make matter, and how we chose to honor each other in our lifetimes can matter a great deal down the road,” Renee said (via The Week).

Charlize Theron and Renee Zellweger slay the red carpet at the 2019 Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala!

The 44-year-old Bombshell actress and the 50-year-old Judy star were both honored at the event held at Palm Springs Convention Center on Thursday (January 2) in Palm Springs, Calif.

Charlize took home the International Star Award for her work on the film, and Renee received the Desert Palm Achievement Award for her role.

Bombshell director Jay Roach and writer Charles Randolph were also in attendance, as well as Judy director Rupert Goold.
