Maren Morris has been experiencing mom-shaming this week after she posted a photo of herself riding a float on a lake with her three-month-old son Hayes on her lap.

People tweeted asking where Hayes‘ life jacket was and some fans defended her, saying how they were clearly in shallow water.

Maren responded, “Honestly, I get so many criticisms of my motherhood on anything I post of Hayes, so I may just discontinue posting photos of him. Sucks but it’s kind of where I’m at. 😑.”

Maren‘s husband Ryan Hurd took to Twitter the next day to defend his wife and her actions.

“I’d just like to say, my wife usually doesn’t need me to defend her, but she’s a great mom, and my kid was not unsafe on a float in 1 feet of water being held by an adult with 5 people watching so she could get a picture,” Ryan wrote. “Hayes has 2 coast guard approved life jackets that he wears. Also, sometimes moms have a drink, and homegirl earned it.”

Earlier this week, Maren revealed the singer that has her blocked on Twitter.

Maren Morris is officially a mom!

The 29-year-old “Bones” singer welcomed her first child with husband Ryan Hurd on Monday (March 23).

Maren and Ryan revealed the little babe’s name and his first photo on her Instagram.

“Hayes Andrew Hurd. 3/23/20. Love of our lives. ✨💕,” she wrote alongside a selfie from the hospital bed.

Maren and Ryan announced they were expecting a baby in October last year, and even took a babymoon to Hawaii over the holiday season.

Just recently, Maren opened up about her confusion about having a room set aside just for playtime.

Maren Morris is currently five months pregnant with her first child, a boy, with husband Ryan Hurd, and she’s positive that they conceived the baby in Hawaii.

In an interview with Storme Warren for SiriusXM’s The Highway this week, the 29-year-old country star revealed that she and Ryan were in Hawaii back in March and she’s five months pregnant now.

“I was here five months ago with my husband Ryan for vacation, and now I am mysteriously five months pregnant,” Maren said, while on Maui for the BMI Maui Songwriters Festival.

Maren Morris looks like a real-life princess at the 2019 CMA Awards!

The 29-year-old pregnant “The Bones” singer was joined by her baby bump and her husband Ryan Hurd on the red carpet at the event held at the Music City Center on Wednesday (November 13) in Nashville, Tenn.

They snapped a pic with fellow members of Maren‘s all-female music group The Highwomen – Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, and Amanda Shires.

Maren received a total of six nominations, and she’ll hit the stage for a performance of “Girl.”

Maren and Ryan announced last month that they are expecting their first child together. During an recent interview, Maren revealed that she is expecting a boy!

The 29-year-old country singer and husband Ryan Hurd coupled up for the 2019 BMI Country Awards on Tuesday (November 12) at the BMI in Nashville, Tenn.

Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd are expecting!

The 29-year-old “The Middle” singer and the 32-year-old country singer-songwriter confirmed the happy news on Tuesday (October 22).

“The irony is just too rich that after a year of living in the GIRL headspace, the universe would give us a baby boy to even things out. See you in 2020, little one. 👶🏻,” Maren wrote on her Instagram.

Ryan also confirmed her due date on Twitter: “Look at her… can’t believe it. See you in March, baby!” he wrote.

The two began dating at the end of 2015 after first meeting after co-writing together in 2013. They became engaged in 2017, and tied the knot in 2018 in Nashville, Tenn.
