Mike Faist gets into character as Riff, the leader of the Jets, while filming a scene for West Side Story on Saturday afternoon (July 13) in New York City.

The 27-year-old actor kicked around a can of paint with the rest of the Jets while shooting a dance sequence. They were likely filming the “Jet Song,” one of the first songs in the musical.

The hit series Bull, starring Michael Weatherly, is losing Steven Spielberg and Amblin Television as producers.

Spielberg and the heads of his production company Amblin TV have served as executive producers on the CBS legal drama for the first three seasons. The show was just renewed for a fourth season, but they will not continue.

The reason? They reportedly don’t want to be associated with the series after Weatherly was accused of sexual harassment by co-star Eliza Dushku, according to Deadline.

CBS paid out a $9.5 million settlement to Dushku after she was written off the show. Her exit happened after she reported Weatherly and the settlement she received reflected the amount she would have made if she finished out her contract with the show.

Maggie Ziegler is joining the cast of Steven Spielberg‘s highly anticipated West Side Story reboot!

The 16-year-old star was revealed as a cast member on Tuesday (April 16), along with more than 50 actors, singers and dancers joining the ensemble cast of Sharks and Jets, the rival street gangs at the center of the musical’s love story.

Dear Evan Hansen star Mike Faist will play Riff, the leader of the Jets, while Puerto Rican singer-dancer Ana Isabelle will play Rosalia.

As previously announced, Rita Moreno will play Valentina, Ansel Elgort plays Tony, Rachel Zegler is Maria, Ariana DeBose will play Anita, David Alvarez is Bernardo, Josh Andrés Rivera stars as Chino, Corey Stoll plays Lieutenant Schrank and Brian d’Arcy James is Sergeant Krupke.

“One of our largest priorities was to find a caliber of triple-threats who could bring this film to life with great proficiency. West Side Story has influenced generations of dancers since its inception, and I am thrilled that we have found this extraordinary group to bring our new vision for the musical to the big screen,” said choreographer Justin Peck.

Apple just unveiled its new streaming service Apple TV Plus and stars from their upcoming original shows stepped out for the announcement!

Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Jason Momoa were just some of the many stars at Apple’s “It’s Showtime” event at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park on Monday morning (March 25) in Cupertino, Calif.

Jennifer and Reese were joined by Steve Carell to present their new series The Morning Show, which was already ordered for two seasons.

Jason and his co-star Alfre Woodard were there to represent the futuristic drama See. Also in attendance were Little America‘s Kumail Nanjiani, On the Rocks‘ Rashida Jones, Dickinson‘s Hailee Steinfeld and Jane Krakowski, and animated series Central Park‘s Josh Gad.

Also at the event were directors Steven Spielberg and Jon M. Chu, Ewan McGregor, Tim Robbins, and Oprah Winfrey, who announced her new documentaries and Book Club.

Kate Hudson hits the pink carpet with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa as they attend The Women’s Cancer Research Fund’s An Unforgettable Evening Benefit Gala on Thursday (February 28) at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 39-year-old actress stepped out in a chic in a black dress as she was honored at the event with the 2019 Courage Award for her commitment to raising awareness and fund for breast cancer research.

Also hitting the pink carpet was fellow honoree Gabrielle Union – who was given the Unsung Hero Award for her charitable contributions and philanthropic efforts to help educate women about breast cancer.

The ladies also posed with a few of the event’s honorary chairs including Rita Wilson and Steven Spielberg and wife Kate Capshaw.

Other stars at the party included Demi Moore, Paris Hilton, Sharon Stone, Ken Jeong, Sara Foster, designers Tom Ford and Monique Lhuillier along with Lori Loughlin and her daughters Olivia Jade and Bella Giannulli.

The Women’s Cancer Research Fund, a program of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, supports innovative research, education and outreach directed at the development of more effective approaches to the early diagnosis, treatment and prevention of women’s cancers.

Rita Moreno is revisiting her iconic film!

The acclaimed actress, who won a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for playing Anita in the 1961 version of West Side Story, will return for the Steven Spielberg-directed remake, Deadline confirmed on Tuesday (November 27).

In addition, Rita will be an executive producer of the upcoming adaptation of the Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim lyric musical.

However, she will playing a different role: in the new movie, she will play Valentina, a re-conceived and expanded version of the character of Doc, the owner of the corner store in which Tony works.

“Never in my wildest dreams did I see myself revisiting this seminal work. And to be asked by Steven Spielberg to participate is simply thrilling! Then to work together with the brilliant playwright, Tony Kushner – what a glorious stew! I am tingling!” she said.

“From our earliest discussions, we wanted to include Rita Moreno in our production. Her Anita is one of the greatest musical performances ever filmed, and a personal favorite of mine. We created an original role for her, and we feel beyond fortunate that Rita will bring her extraordinary gifts as an actress, as well as her deep understanding of West Side Story to this production as an executive producer,” said Steven.

Filming for West Side Story is set to begin in the summer of 2019.

Kathleen Kennedy accepts her honorary award on stage at the 2018 Governors Awards on Sunday night (November 18) at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood.

Matt Damon and Steven Spielberg were on hand to present the honor. The legendary producer and her husband, director and producer Frank Marshall, were presented with the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award. Kathleen became the first woman to ever receive the award!

Kathleen currently is overseeing the Star Wars franchise and some stars from the movies that showed support included Harrison Ford with wife Calista Flockhart, Lupita Nyong’o, Diego Luna, and Laura Dern.
