Edward Norton Remembers Getting Booed at 'Fight Club' Premiere - Watch Here!

Edward Norton is opening up about the initial response to his classic 1999 film, Fight Club!

While making appearance alongside guests Zazie Beetz and Leslie Odom Jr. on The Late Late Show on Thursday (October 24), the 50-year-old recalled the negative reaction to the David Fischer-directed film.

“It was sort of a… I don’t want to say flop because lots of people loved it – but it didn’t do well the opening weekend,” Edward recalled. “As if that is the only measurement of a good film.”

“At the Venice Film Festival when we showed it, I remember Brad [Pitt] saying to me, ‘do you think this is going to go well?’ In fact, it got booed,” Edward continued. “It got booed at the festival, very loudly. It didn’t matter. It was almost as if no one was booing we hadn’t pushed it far enough. Sometimes you haven’t really activated people if nobody is pissed off”
