Jessica Chastain is absolutely gorgeous as she hits the carpet in a white suit while attending the 70th Anniversary Gala Dinner held during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday evening (May 23) in Cannes, France.

The Oscar-nominated actress was joined at the event by Will Smith, Marion Cotillard, Monica Bellucci, Uma Thurman, Juliette Binoche, Adrien Brody, Isabelle Huppert, Laetitia Casta, Christoph Waltz, Mads Mikkelsen, Anja Rubik and Harvey Weinstein.

The Cannes Film Festival celebrated its 70th edition with a formal dinner in honor of the festival’s birthday. The event was preceded by red carpet arrivals at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès.

Diane Kruger is speaking out about equal pay in the film industry.

The 40-year-old actress attended the Variety and Kering Women in Motion talk at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival at Hotel Majestic on Wednesday (May 24) in Cannes, France.

During a talk with Variety, Diane spoke about how she’s never received equal pay when making a film in the US, but has been given equal pay when working in France.

“Sometimes I had to accept it for financial reasons or because I really wanted to play that role,” Diane said. Watch below…

During the press conference, Nicole was asked about the opportunities for women as directors in the industry, whether that’s in film or TV.

“Still only about four percent of women directed the major motion pictures of 2016,” Nicole, 49, expressed (via THR). “That there says it all. I think that’s an important thing to say and keep saying. Luckily we had Jane Campion and Sofia here. We as women have to support female directors, that’s a given now. Everyone is saying it’s so different now – but it isn’t. Listen to the statistics.”

The 19-year-old actress stepped out at the film festival’s 70th Anniversary celebration on Tuesday (May 23) at Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France.

Elle was also joined at the event by Ashley Benson, Rita Ora and Barbra Palvin.

Before the event, Barbara took to her Instagram to share a gorgeous selfie while getting ready.

“yeppp. i am ready 🙈 #lorealcannes,” she captioned the image.

Marion Cotillard and Salma Hayek glam up for the red carpet at the 70th Anniversary Celebration of the 2017 Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday (May 23) at Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France.

The ladies met up for a photo at the event with fellow friend Nicole Kidman and Salma captioned it “#GirlPower” on Instagram.

Salma was joined by husband Francois-Henri Pinault at the event and other stars in attendance included Diego Luna, Gael Garcia Bernal, Adrien Brody with longtime love Lara Lieto, and Antonio Banderas with girlfriend Nicole Kempel.
