The Little Mermaid Live! is airing tonight and we’ve got all the details on the highly anticipated musical!

The star-studded show will feature lots of familiar faces, like Auli’i Cravalho and John Stamos, as it airs just before the 30th anniversary of the classic animated film.

The show will be aired in a film and live musical hybrid, with the performances being interwoven into the broadcast of the original feature film.

After months of rehearsal, the cast is finally ready to perform live for America. We’re so excited to welcome these characters in our living room!

Auli’i Cravalho plays Ariel the mermaid in The Little Mermaid Live! and she revealed how she prepared for the iconic role.

USA Today asked what he favorite song to perform from the musical is, and here’s what she said in response: “‘Part of Your World’ is really exciting to me because I get to do some aerial work in that.” Then, she continued, “So Ariel gets to do aerial work, which I think is also the best pun in the world. And I’m really, really excited. I’ve been doing a lot of ab exercises, I’ve been doing a lot of crunches, a lot of planks.”

We can’t wait to see the aerial work!

John Stamos joins Auli’i Cravalho on the blue carpet at the premiere event for The Little Mermaid Live! in Los Angeles on Monday (November 4).

The two stars met up with their co-stars, Graham Phillips, Shaggy and Amber Riley for the event, ahead of the premiere tomorrow night.

ABC just released the first sneak peeks for the music from the upcoming, The Little Mermaid Live!

The new visuals give us a look inside recording for the upcoming event with Auli’i Cravalho, Queen Latifah, John Stamos, Shaggy, and Graham Phillips.

The special give fans an inside look at recording the songs for the concert, including “Under the Sea,” “Poor Unfortunate Souls,” “Her Voice,” “Les Poissons” and, “Part of Your World.”

“Recording music for this live event has been awe-inspiring,” Auli’i shared in one of the videos. “The first song that I sang was ‘Part of Your World’, and my first take went really, really well. I was like ‘oh, this feels really good’, and I turned to Alan [Menken] and he was just like ‘Yasss!’”

The 56-year-old actor will star as Chef Louis in the upcoming production, opposite Auli’i Cravalho as Ariel, Graham Phillips as Prince Eric, Queen Latifah as Ursula, and Shaggy as Sebastian.

We have your first look at The Little Mermaid Live!

The special, live event will star Auli’i Cravalho as Ariel, Queen Latifah as Ursula, Graham Phillips as Prince Eric, John Stamos at Chef Louis, and Shaggy as Sebastian, in a celebration the 30th anniversary of the beloved animated movie through a never-before-seen hybrid musical featuring intricate live sets, costumes and music from the original animated film and the Tony-nominated Broadway stage version.

Not only do we get our first look at each character, but there are also clips of each character singing songs from their character!

Jodi Benson and Auli’i Cravalho look back at the Sebastian character during The Little Mermaid panel at the 2019 D23 Expo over the weekend in Anaheim, Calif.

The Disney Princess twosome were celebrating the 30th anniversary of the animated flick and opened up about the upcoming concert special, where Auli’i will be performing as Ariel.

During the panel event, Auli’i opened up about how Jodi gave her advice during the last D23 about how portraying a Disney princess would open doors and then asked for even more.
