Ben Hardy Talks the Future of 'X-Men' in 'Fault' Magazine

Ben Hardy gets serious in a new spread for Fault magazine’s issue #23.

Here’s what the 25-year-old X-Men: Apocalypse actor had to share with the mag:

On leaving Eastenders and heading the US without a job: “No, I just left really. It’s one of those things you’ve got to just get out there to do otherwise I might find myself waking up in 10 years wondering what could have been.”

On playing a younger version of Ben Foster‘s character in X-Men: “As the timeline has completely warped and while I did watch X-Men: The Last Stand, I went into playing Angel as a brand new character altogether. I’m drawing on Angel’s character as dictated by the script and my own interpretation of him without worrying too much on past appearances.”

On the future of the X-Men films: As far as I know, the original X-Men actors will remain in the franchise. But I think there is a great young cast in Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Alex Shipp and Lana Condor, who have so much talent to bring to X-Men in the future.

Ben Hardy Talks Michael Fassbender's 'Expressive Eyes'

Ben Hardy shows off his muscles on the cover of Attitude magazine’s May 2016 issue, available online now and on newsstands April 27.

Here’s what the 25-year-old actor, who plays Angel in the upcoming X-Men movie, had to share with the mag:

On his first Attitude shoot in 2014: “I’m very thankful for that shoot because I feel like that definitely helped me in crossing over to international waters. It’s always good to have that press and I think that may have got some people’s attention and made them look at my work.”

On working on X-Men with Michael Fassbender: “I remember one day watching Michael Fassbender do this one scene and he’s just so expressive, but without really doing anything. It’s incredible, he can stand there and his eyes are so expressive, that they’ll tell a whole story yet he’s just so still in that moment. I think that’s something that is very difficult to achieve.”

On working with X-Men director Bryan Singer: “He’s exceptional. He’s a really cool and creative guy and he constantly sees things in the moment. He’s not the kind of director who plans something out, he gets there and does it. He’s visionary in many ways.”
