Michael Fassbender is attached to star in David Fincher‘s upcoming assassin drama for Netflix, The Killer.

Fincher has been attached to the project since 2007 and Brad Pitt was originally attached to star at that time.

THR is reporting that the film may actually go into production sometime this year.

The film is being written by Andrew Kevin Walker, the scribe who wrote Fincher‘s hit films Se7en, The Game and Fight Club.

Michael would star as an “assassin who begins to psychologically crack as he develops a conscience, even as his clients continue to demand his skills.”

Michael has not had a movie come out since 2019′s X-Men: Dark Phoenix, so this could be his first major project back!

Alicia Vikander celebrated her 32nd birthday over the weekend and she’s opening up about the surprise that her husband Michael Fassbender pulled off for the special day!

The Oscar-winning actress chatted with Good Morning America on Friday (October 2) and said that she had already received her birthday present – a trip home to see her family.

“Actually, my husband surprised me with a trip to Sweden,” Alicia said. “Landed, I got a COVID test and was negative so I was able to hang out with my mom and my dad and a lot of family members I haven’t seen in a long time. So that was kind of a perfect gift.”

The married couple are celebrating their third wedding anniversary this month.

Alicia Vikander has been spending the lockdown in France with her husband Michael Fassbender and she’s opening up about what life has been like for them!

The 31-year-old Oscar-winning actress is on the cover of Elle UK‘s October 2020 issue and she says the photo shoot was her first day back at work.

Alicia was asked if Michael ever unsuspectingly walks in the background of her Zoom calls and she said he hasn’t. She added, “But that’s the thing when you’re in your house. There’s always a risk of someone in the background. My husband was often around making coffee or putting the boiler on.”

The couple got married in October 2017 and Alicia told the mag that they decided to settle down in Lisbon, Portugal “to get away from London and big cities.”

Alicia says that she wanted to attend the Black Lives Matter protests while in quarantine, but she stayed home because of COVID-19. “I wanted to be out there but, for obvious reasons, I couldn’t leave my house,” she said.

Alicia and Michael met while working together on the movie The Light Between Oceans. So, will they ever work together again?

Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender couple up on the red carpet at the 2020 Dublin International Film Festival on Thursday night (March 5) at the Lighthouse Cinema in Dublin, Ireland.

The married couple stepped out for the premiere of the film Calm With Horses and this marks the first time they’ve walked side-by-side on a red carpet since the premiere of their movie The Light Between Oceans in October 2016.

Michael is an executive producer on the movie, which stars Barry Keoghan. He was at the event as well!

Back in January, Michael joined Alicia at the Louis Vuitton event during Paris Fashion Week, but he decided to skip the red carpet.
