Tim Burton Begins Production on 'Dumbo,' Debuts Set Photo

Production has begun on Tim Burton‘s upcoming live-action reimagining of the Disney classic Dumbo and the studio just shared a photo of the director on set!

Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, and Eva Green have been confirmed to star in the film alongside newcomers Nico Parker and Finley Hobbins in their first film roles.

Disney’s new live-action feature film Dumbo introduces Holt Farrier (Farrell), a former circus star who finds his life turned upside down when he returns from the war. Circus owner Max Medici (DeVito) enlists Holt to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when Holt’s children (Parker and Hobbins) discover that Dumbo can fly, persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Keaton) and an aerial artist named Colette Marchant (Green) swoop in to make the peculiar pachyderm a star.

Dumbo has a release date set for March 29, 2019.

The 28-year-old actor, who recently starred in Fox’s 24: Legacy, was joined at the event by his Six Degrees of Separation co-star Allison Janney.

Corey was nominated for Best Leading Actor in a Play while Allison presented during the event alongside former Hamilton actor Christopher Jackson.

Also in attendance at the event were Michael Aronov, who won for his work in Oslo, as well as nominated actors Jennifer Ehle for Oslo, Michelle Wilson for Sweat, Danny DeVito for The Price, and Jefferson Mays for Oslo.

FYI: Corey is wearing Ermenegildo Zegna Couture. Allison is wearing a Cristina Ottaviano gown. Michelle is wearing a Hakaan dress, Manolo Blahnik shoes, a Calvin Klein clutch, and Gumuchian jewelry.

Ben Platt Wins Performance Prize at Drama League Awards, Breaks Record for Youngest Winner!

The 23-year-old actor beat out all of the other performers on Broadway this season to win the Distinguished Performance Award. Only one person wins the award each year and each recipient can only receive this award once during his or her career.

Ben Platt Reacts to 'Surreal' Tony Award Nomination!

Ben Platt is sharing his excitement after being nominated for a 2017 Tony Award!

The 23-year-old star of the hit Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen took to Twitter to react to his first ever Tony nomination.

“Thank you to all for the kind words, love and support- a surreal morning that I’ll remember forever. So proud of my @DearEvanHansen family,” Evan tweeted.

Evan
was later joined by fellow Broadway stars Andrew Rannells, Josh Groban, Sally Field, Cynthia Nixon, Gavin Creel, Danny DeVito, and Andy Karl as they attended the Meet the Nominees Press Junket on Wednesday (May 3) at the Sofitel Hotel in New York City.

Barack Obama Visits Malia in New York, Checks Out 'The Price' on Broadway!

Former President Barack Obama and his daughter Malia pose with the cast of the Broadway play The Price backstage after a performance on Friday night (February 24) at the American Airlines Theatre in New York City.

The father-daughter duo met up with Mark Ruffalo, Danny DeVito, Tony Shalhoub, and Jessica Hecht after the show.

Barack is in the Big Apple for meetings and also to visit Malia, who is spending the winter in the city for an internship with The Weinstein Company. She has been spotted several times heading to the office for work!

Leslie Mann Doesn't Think Hubby Judd Apatow Is Funny!

While Judd Apatow may have directed a ton of comedies – from The 40-Year-Old Virgin to Knocked Up to Trainwreck, but his wife Leslie Mann doesn’t seem to find him funny.

“We are not funny around the house. I don’t find Judd that funny,” the 44-year-old actress expressed while making an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday (January 30). “He’s funny in his professional life but not at home, he doesn’t even look at me.”

Mark Ruffalo Returns To Broadway In 'The Price'!

Mark Ruffalo is making his grand return to Broadway!

The 49-year-old Avengers actor, who’s only Broadway credit was in the 2006 revival of Awake and Sing!, is set to star in a revival of Arthur Miller‘s The Price.

The play, which is scheduled to begin performances February 16 and to open March 16 at the American Airlines Theater, is a riveting story about the struggle to make peace with the past and create hope for the future.
