Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson revealed that Jungle Cruise is officially headed to theaters, and will also debut simultaneously on Disney+ for an extra fee under their “Premiere Access” for an additional $29.99.

Disney+ is celebrating Star Wars Day with an all new The Simpsons short!
Titled The Force Awakens From Its Nap, the short film will bring together the two beloved franchises for the iconic holiday.
Here’s the summary for The Force Awakens From Its Nap: “In a daycare far, far away… but still in Springfield, Maggie is on an epic quest for her stolen pacifier. Her adventure brings her face-to-face with young Padawans, Sith Lords, familiar droids, Rebel scum, and an ultimate battle against the dark side, in this original short celebrating the Star Wars galaxy.”
The short will feature characters from the Star Wars galaxy to the fictional town of Springfield, and is just the first of several Simpsons shorts that the streaming service plans to release this year.
The Force Awakens From Its Nap will be available on Disney+ beginning at Tuesday, May 4 at 12:00 AM Pacific time.

There are so many exciting shows and movies coming to Disney+ this month!
The Disney streamer revealed the complete list of everything that will be added to the platform throughout May, and there are some very exciting new additions.
Shows being added to the streamer include the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Bad Batch, plus new episodes of Big Shot and The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers.
Other Disney series that will be coming out on Disney+ include Disney Junior Mickey Mouse Mixed-Up Adventures, Disney Special Agent Oso and Kingdom of the Polar Bears.
Movies being added in May include Everyone’s Hero and Flicka 2, Tinker Bell and the Legend of the Neverbeast, X-Men: The Last Stand, and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
Plus, the highly anticipated Emma Stone-led live-action Cruella is coming out this month. Watch the trailer!

Disney+ just dropped the first, full-length trailer for Luca!
The fish out of water movie is described as “a coming-of-age story about one young boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides.”
He shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: they are sea monsters from another world just below the water’s surface.
The movie’s voice cast includes Jacob Tremblay, Jack Dylan Grazer, Emma Berman, Saverio Raimondo, Maya Rudolph, Marco Barricelli, Jim Gaffigan, Sandy Martin, and Giacomo Gianniotti.

Ewan McGregor is dishing about his upcoming series.
The 50-year-old actor opened up about the highly anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney+ in an interview with THR.

During the conversation, he spoke about the negative reviews that the prequels received, including The Phantom Menace.
“That was quite difficult. They were universally not very much liked,” he admitted.
He also discussed George Lucas‘ reliance on CGI, which was “because George loves technology and loves pushing into that realm.”

Rick Riordan, the author of the beloved Percy Jackson book series, is making an exciting announcement!
Disney is on the hunt to find the titular character for the TV adaptation of Percy Jackson & the Olympians, the five-book fantasy series, as of Tuesday (April 27).
“The latest news for you all on PJO TV: The casting process is now in its earliest stages, which means we have put out a casting call to the talent agencies for an actor to play Percy Jackson. I want to stress this is a preliminary search. We still have a long way to go before anything is official or confirmed, but this is definitely an indication that things are going in the right direction. We continue to have a lot of positive momentum behind the project and are excited to move forward!” he wrote on his official website.
