Helen Hunt is opening up about why her version of a Twister reboot was shot down last year.
The 57-year-old actress and filmmaker revealed in a new interview with Watch What Happens Live! that her pitch about a Twister movie that starred all black and brown performers was passed on.

Jasmine Cephas Jones looks amazing in a plunging purple dress at the premiere of Blindspotting held at Hollywood Forever on Sunday night (June 13) in Hollywood.
The 31-year-old actress brought her famous dad, This Is Us star Ron Cephas Jones, as her plus one to the event.
Rafael Casal, Jaylen Barron, Benjamin Earl Turner, Atticus Woodward, and Candace Nicholas-Lippman all joined Jasmine at the event, alongside director Helen Hunt.
Keith Calder, Margo Hall, Andrew Chappelle, Jess Wu and Justin Chu Cary were also in attendance at the party.
Just days before, Jasmine debuted the new Starz series in NYC alongside fiance, Anthony Ramos.
FYI: Jasmine wore a Tony Ward dress. Jaylen is wearing a Harpers Private Collection dress, Enrico Cuini shoes and an Oceana Clutches clutch.

Anthony Ramos poses for a photo on the red carpet with fiancee Jasmine Cephas Jones at the premiere of her TV series Blindspotting on Friday (June 11) at Pier 76 in New York City.
It’s an exciting weekend for the couple because Anthony‘s new movie In the Heights was just released in theaters and they both have projects at the Tribeca Film Festival!
Blindspotting is a continuation of the 2018 film of the same name and the series premieres on Sunday night on Starz. Jasmine reprises her role as Ashley in the series.
Other cast members at the event included Helen Hunt and Benjamin Earl Turner, as well as actor and executive producer Rafael Casal.

The 57-year-old Twister actress was spotted enjoying a fun day in the sun at the beach on Thursday (July 9) in Malibu, Calif.

Helen was seen smiling and enjoying the refreshing water in a bikini during her hot daytime getaway at the beach.
Back in June, Helen paid tribute to the medical graduates who have been working during the pandemic.
“Today, the Residents of Mount Sinai Department of Medicine have graduated into their professions. Over the past two months, these residents saw more death than most physicians see in a lifetime. Their career begins in a time of enormous service and sacrifice,” she said on social media.

We’re so glad to see that Helen is okay after she was hospitalized in October of 2019 after a very scary car accident. Thankfully, she looks to be totally fine. We’re glad she made a recovery!

The 59-year-old two-time Oscar winner and the 27-year-old Australian actress held hands while arriving at the Meet Me In Australia Benefit Event on Sunday evening (March 8) at the LA Zoo in Los Angeles.

The event was hosted by The Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association to benefit the Australia wildfire relief efforts.

If you didn’t know, Sean and Leila have been dating for a little over three years.
