JJ Watt is joining a new team!

The 31-year-old pass-rusher announced on Twitter that he had signed with the Arizona Cardinals by sharing a photo of himself wearing a Cardinals’ shirt with the caption, “Source: me.”

Although terms were not disclosed, ESPN reports that the deal is worth $31 million and includes $23 million guaranteed.

Last month, JJ parted ways with the Houston Texans. He had played with the team for 10 seasons.

“The connection I have with the people of Houston is special, and I will never take that for granted because I know how rare it is. I just want you to know that I love you and I appreciate you,” JJ said in a video posted to Twitter. “I want to thank the McNair family for drafting me and giving me my first opportunity in the NFL. Thank you, Houston.”

At the start of the coronavirus pandemic, JJ and his wife Kealia Ohai made a generous donation to the Houston food bank.

The 30-year-old pro football player and the 28-year-old pro soccer player have made a donation of $350,000 to the Houston Food Bank to help the group amid the virus pandemic, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The donation will be providing over one million meals for those in need during this unprecedented time.

J.J. and Kealia just tied the knot during a romantic ceremony in The Bahamas back in February.

The 30-year-old The Houston Texans defensive end married girlfriend Kealia Ohai on Saturday night (February 15) in the Bahamas.

The 28-year-old soccer player’s friend and USWNT star Crystal Dunn took to her Instagram Story to share a photo of Kealia in her sparkling wedding dress.

JJ and Kealia got engaged in May 2019 after dating for several years after being introduced by JJ‘s former Texans teammate Brian Cushing, who is married to Kealia‘s older sister Megan.

The 30-year-old Houston Texans player took to social media on Sunday (May 26) to announce that he proposed to girlfriend Kealia Ohai.

“I’m the luckiest man in the world. #SheSaidYes,” JJ captioned the photos of him and the 27-year-old pro soccer player, who captains the Houston Dash of the National Women’s Soccer League.

JJ and Kealia have been dating for three years, after meeting throught JJ’s former Texans teammate Brian Cushing who is married to Kealia‘s older sister Megan.

Also joining the Texas natives at the game was JJ‘s longtime girlfriend and soccer star Kealia Ohai.

The Rockets won tonight 98 to 94, and are currently winning the series.

JJ Watt is doing what he can to help the families of the victims of the recent Santa Fe school shooting.

The 29-year-old Houston Texans defensive end has offered to cover the 10 funerals for the students and teachers that were killed in the high school shooting on Friday (May 18), People mag reports.

After news of the shooting broke, JJ took to Twitter to react to the news saying it’s “Absolutely horrific.”

JJ has made it a priority to give back to people who are effected by tragedies. Last year, JJ raised more than $37 million in hurricane relief for Hurricane Harvey victims.
