Judy Garland Was Molested by 'Wizard of Oz' Munchkins, Her Ex-Husband Claimed

Judy Garland‘s ex-husband Sid Luft has made some shocking claims about her time on the set of The Wizard of Oz, which are featured in his new posthumous memoir.

In the book, Sid claimed that Judy was repeatedly molested by some of the actors playing the Munchkins in the classic movie musical The Wizard of Oz.

“They would make Judy‘s life miserable on set by putting their hands under her dress … The men were 40 or more years old,” Sid wrote in the book (via People). “They thought they could get away with anything because they were so small.”

Sid and Judy were married from 1952 until 1965. He passed away in 2005.

Judy described the behavior of the Munchkin actors in an interview she gave in 1967, two years before her death. “They were little drunks … They got smashed every night, and they picked them up in butterfly nets,” she said.
