Katey Sagal is speaking out in response to the cancellation of her series Rebel.
The new ABC series was canceled last week after airing just five episodes and Katey is just as shocked as fans about the news.
Rebel was one of five shows that were canceled by ABC on Friday and fans are devastated by the news.

ABC has released the trailer for their upcoming new series Rebel starring Katey Sagal!
The 67-year-old Golden Globes-winning actress stars in the Erin Brockovich-inspired series, who has “had too many husbands, picked up too many names,” but she “brings corporations to their knees.”
Here’s the official synopsis via ABC: “Inspired by the life of Erin Brockovich today, Annie “Rebel” Bello is a blue-collar legal advocate without a law degree. She’s a funny, messy, brilliant and fearless woman who cares desperately about the causes she fights for and the people she loves. When Rebel applies herself to a fight she believes in, she will win at almost any cost.”
The new show also stars John Corbett, James Lesure, Tamala Jones, and Andy Garcia.
Rebel will be premiering on Thursday, April 8th at 10pm ET on ABC.
ABC had ordered an Erin Brockovich inspired show, called Rebel, straight to series.
The network announced today that Katey Sagal would lead the series, with John Corbett, James Lesure, Lex Scott Davis, Tamala Jones, Ariela Barer, Kevin Zegers, Sam Palladio and Andy Garcia.
The series centers on Annie “Rebel” Bello, a blue-collar legal advocate without a law degree. She’s a funny, messy, brilliant and fearless woman who cares desperately about the causes she fights for and the people she loves.
When Rebel applies herself to a fight she believes in, she will win at almost any cost.
Erin Brockovich, the inspiration behind the 2000 Oscar nominated film, released a statement about the series.
“Rebel is not just my story, it is all of our stories. There is a hero that exists in all of us, and I am so excited for Krista Vernoff and ABC to bring their visionary storytelling to this series,” she shared. “The name Rebel oozes self-empowerment, courage and rising above, even in the worst of circumstances. I cannot think of anyone better to play this role than the indomitable Katey Sagal, who is such a force, as well as the rest of this extraordinary cast.”

Katey Sagal is returning to TV!
The 66-year-old Sons of Anarchy actress has signed on to star in Rebel, a drama inspired by the life of activist Erin Brockovich today, Deadline reports.
The show, which has already received a pilot order from ABC, hails from Grey’s Anatomy executive producer/showrunner Krista Vernoff. Erin will also serve as an executive producer.

Julia Roberts won the Oscar for her portrayal of Erin in the 2000 movie Erin Brockovich.
