Lenny Kravitz Joins Jennifer Lopez in 'Shotgun Wedding'

Lenny Kravitz is joining the cast!

The 56-year-old superstar will join Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel in Shotgun Wedding, THR reported Tuesday (February 16).

Cheech Marin, D’Arcy Carden, Selena Tan, Desmin Borges and Alex Mallari are also joining the cast of the action-comedy.

Josh replaced Armie Hammer in the co-starring role.

Shotgun Wedding will “follow Darcy (Lopez) and Tom (Duhamel) as they gather their lovable but very opinionated families for the ultimate destination wedding just as the couple begin to get cold feet. And if that wasn’t enough of a threat to the celebration, suddenly everyone’s lives are in danger when the entire party is taken hostage. Kravitz will play Sean, the globetrotting ex of Lopez‘s character, Grace, while Marin will play Robert, Grace’s father. Carden will play Harriet, Robert’s new wife. And Tan will play Marge, the head of the wedding resort, while Borges is to perform the role of Ricky, the permanently whisky-buzzed, embarrassing childhood best friend of Duhamel’s character, Tom. Mallari will play Dog-Face, a pirate.”

Lenny Kravitz Didn't Feature His Engagement To Nicole Kidman In His Memoir For This Reason

Lenny Kravitz and Nicole Kidman‘s secret engagement came as quite a surprise to many people when it was first revealed in 2017.

Nicole had told The Edit that she had known her Big Little Lies co-star Zoe Kravitz for a while because she was engaged to her dad.

“Well, I knew Zoe because I was engaged to her father. It’s all in the family! I love Lenny; he’s a great guy,” she mentioned in the interview.

In a brand new interview with Daily Telegraph, Lenny revealed why his memoir doesn’t mention his relationship with Nicole at all.

Lenny explained why he decided to stop at age 25, when he released his debut album in 1989.

“At first I thought I’d write the story up to now, but as I began to write I felt they were two different books,” he shared. “I didn’t want this book to be about stardom or fame, I wanted it to be about the journey I went through to find my voice. The next book will be about what happens after the first album was released and how life changed.”

Here’s what else Nicole shared about her previous relationship with Lenny

Lenny Kravitz Opens Up About His Strong Relationship With Daughter Zoe Kravitz

Lenny Kravitz is thankful for his tight bond with his daughter, Zoe Kravitz.

The 56-year-old musician opened up in a new interview with People magazine about their relationship and admits it reminds him of the relationship his own mother had with her father.

“Zoë and I have a very open dialogue,” Lenny shared. “We can talk about anything and everything.”

He added about the mirrored relationship with his mom, Jeffersons actress Roxie Roker and her father, “My mother and my grandfather had a very close relationship — to the point where, as a teenager, I thought it was ridiculous. I would just say, like, ‘You guys are on top of each other all the time.’ They loved each other, and they valued each other. So when I see the relationship between Zoë and myself, I see the relationship between my mother and my grandfather. It makes me very happy that we’ve elevated to that level.”

He also opened up about the family dynamic with ex, Lisa Bonet, who is Zoe‘s mother, and her own family with Jason Momoa.

“It’s essential,” he says. “We have a child, and we love each other just as much as before — it’s just a different situation. It takes time, work and dedication, but that is something that the two of us had.”

Lenny continues, “I love her husband, and I love her children. We all get together, and we have the best times. We communicate, we have each other’s backs and that is the way it should be. We’re all one family.”

Lenny Kravitz Talks 'Tight' Friendship with Ex Lisa Bonet's Husband Jason Momoa

Lenny Kravitz is dishing on his friendship with Jason Momoa!

In a new interview with Men’s Health, the 56-year-old entertainer said that clicked with the 41-year-old actor – who is married to his ex Lisa Bonet – the moment they met.

“People can’t believe how tight Jason and I are, or how tight I still am with [daughter] Zoe‘s mom, how we all relate,” Lenny shared. “We just do it because that’s what you do. You let love rule, right?”

“I mean, obviously, after a breakup, it’s work — it takes some work and time, healing and reflection, et cetera,” Lenny continued. “But as far as Jason and I? Literally the moment we met, we were like, ‘Oh, yeah. I love this dude.’”

Lenny and Lisa were married from 1987 to 1993. Jason and Lisa have been together since 2005 and got married in 2017. They share two kids: daughter Lola, 13, and son Nakoa-Wolf, 11.

Also in the interview, Lenny talked about accidentally exposing himself on stage.

Lenny Kravitz Reflects on That Moment Where He Accidentally Exposed Himself on Stage

Back in 2015, Lenny Kravitz was performing a live set during a show in Stockholm, Sweden when he was totally jamming out.

Suddenly, when he bent down, his pants split completely open at the seam and he exposed his privates to the world.

Lenny was asked about the experience in a new interview with Men’s Health, and thankfully, he is letting it roll of his back as a nothing moment in his life.

Lenny responded to a question about the moment, saying, “I don’t even think about it. Y’know, John Lennon was [naked] on the cover of that Two Virgins record. If he could do that, then it’s whatever.”

TMZ has the moment (censored) on their site and you can see what went down.
