Issa Rae, MJ Rodriguez and H.E.R. strike a pose on the green carpet while attending the 2019 Soul Train Awards held at the Orleans Arena on Sunday (November 17) in Las Vegas.

The three ladies were joined at the event by musicians Keyshia Cole, JoJo, Letoya Luckett, Tank and Jeremih, as well as actors Luke James and Skai Jackson and hostesses Tisha Campbell and Tichina Arnold.

The 2019 Soul Train Awards were hosted by Tisha Campbell and Tichina Arnold who opened the show with a rocking opening spectacle, which included a vogue performance from MJ Rodriguez – Check out the performance here!

Lizzo, who was not in attendance, took home the top prize in two categories at the 2019 BET Soul Train Awards: Video of the Year for her “Juice” music video, and Album/Mixtape of the Year for her album Cuz I Love You.

LeToya Luckett and husband Tommicus Walker are expecting!

The 37-year-old singer and original Destiny’s Child member made the exciting announcement on her Instagram on Wednesday (June 27).

Madison, LeToya‘s six-year-old stepdaughter, revealed the happy news in an adorable video.

“I know something you don’t know…I’ll give you a hint! Daddy and LeToya sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g…ew, gross! First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes…the baby!” she said.

“We are over the moon and overjoyed by this news. We feel so blessed that God has gifted us with the gift of life. We will be revealing the gender on the fourth of July. This is s straight up blessing, just a blessing. So keep us in your prayers. It doesn’t matter if it’s a girl or boy. We just wanted to have a healthy baby,” LeToya told Essence.

Beyonce Knowles‘ mom Tina walked the red carpet with her daughter’s former Destiny’s Child group-mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams!

All three ladies were seen at the 2017 Wearable Art Gala at California African American Museum on Saturday (April 29) in Los Angeles.

Also in attendance at the event were Tina‘s husband Richard Lawson, Kelly‘s husband Tim Witherspoon, Kris Jenner, Samuel L. Jackson, Empire‘s Serayah McNeill, Black-ish‘s Yara Shahidi, Hidden Figures‘ Octavia Spencer, former athlete Magic Johnson with wife Cookie and son EJ Johnson, actress Meagan Good, former talk show host Star Jones, and former Destiny’s Child singer LeToya Luckett.

Beyonce, Jay Z, and Blue Ivy Carter (all not pictured) were also in attendance at the event!

Recently, Tina was asked about Beyonce and Jay Z‘s upcoming twins. “It’s the biggest blessing. I’m so excited!” When asked about the sex of the twins, Tina claimed she did not know. “I would be happy with whatever God gives me,” she told Extra.

Solange hit the stage to introduce honoree Erykah Badu at the event, which this year commemorates the 20th anniversary of her debut album, Baduizm.

“She is mother, she is sister, she is friend, she is auntie, she is chief, she is warrior of many tribes,” Solange expressed during her speech. “Empress of the mystic women, ruler of the free.. And she has been that for 20 years. She is a beautiful reminder that you cannot put us in the box.”
