Liam Payne is paying tribute to the late Prince Philip through a portrait that he drew and painted!

The 27-year-old former One Direction singer took to his Instagram Stories this week to show off the artwork from the beginning stages until it was finished.

“Beginning something really special I hope,” Liam captioned the first photo. When he shared the second photo, he said, “Taking shape long way to go.”

With the third photo, Liam said, “Hours later, ready for water color.”

When he was finished, Liam shared the finalized portrait and wrote, “Rest in peace HRH Prince Philip. Small tribute to you, thank you for your service.”

Philip will be laid to rest this weekend and we just learned he won’t be buried in his final resting place.

Zayn Malik was asked a tough question while making an appearance on SiriusXM’s Debatable.

The 28-year-old entertainer was asked, “comparing yourself to other members of your band, who would be number two?” Meaning, if Zayn believes his music is best, who out of the remaining One Direction bandmates makes the second best music. Zayn was asked to choose between Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne.

Initially, Zayn said he doesn’t entertain these kinds of things and “doesn’t think there’s a comparison.”

Later Zayn changed his mind and decided to answer, saying, “I’ll tell you what. Niall‘s my favorite. Niall makes the best music. There you go.”

Zayn was asked if Niall‘s music is better than his and he said yes.

Zayn was a member of One Direction but left the band in March of 2015.

Liam Payne is opening up about the difficulties he’s faced with raising his son Bear during the pandemic.

The 27-year-old singer and former One Direction star is co-parenting with his ex-partner Cheryl Cole, whom he split from back in July 2018.

Liam went on Instagram Live this week and talked about how he visited his son that day.

“I went and saw Bear today we had a little hangout which was nice as I hadn’t seen him in a couple of weeks,” Liam told his fans. “It’s hard with the COVID thing as I have to make sure I’m negative before I go over and see him so it’s having to wait that couple of days before you can test so… He’s only up the street and it’s dead complicated but he’s gotten so big, huge.”

The UK is currently on a lockdown due to COVID-19 and households are banned from mixing during this time, though separated parents are allowed to have contact with each other for the sake of the kids.

Liam Payne was asked about Harry Styles‘ Vogue cover, where he wore a Gucci dress.

“I mean what did you make of it when you saw him on the cover of Vogue?” he was asked while making an appearance on Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp.

“Oh I thought it was great,” Liam said. “I think he’s enjoying himself and he’s free to do as he wishes. And you know I just think that people don’t need to be so bothered about stuff.”

“There’s been a lot more stuff going on this year than whether or not he’s wearing the right clothes in someone else’s mind,” he continued.

Liam also revealed he didn’t speak to Harry for a bit after One Direction went their separate ways.

“After the band we didn’t speak for a long time actually and then I remember seeing him, it was actually at a Jingle Bell Ball, backstage for the first time in a long time. He’s still the same guy he always was when we left each other in that dressing room as the band kind of stopped for a little bit,” he added.

The article, which he screenshotted and posted on Instagram, leads with: “‘It’s not unusual for me to be in and out of his life’: Liam Payne says he and Cheryl agreed he should take some ‘time away’ from son Bear.”

“Usually I let these things slide but this is completely out of context … I couldn’t see my son because of the worldwide pandemic that is happening not because I had anything wrong with me like this headline hints at. This interview was done during the first nationwide lockdown at the height of the coronavirus pandemic and I was discussing not being able to see my child which is a difficult time for any parent I wish sometimes these people would do the research and give context instead of painting people a certain way for click bait,” he wrote.

The 27-year-old entertainer made an appearance on Good Morning America on Thursday (September 3) and the hosts offered their congratulations on the happy news.

“We’re just really happy,” Liam said on GMA, adding it has been a nice few days for him. “I mean, in the last week, I’ve just had a birthday, my son [Bear] has gone to school for the first time today, so it seems like a lot of firsts for me, really, actually, which is great.”
