Liam Payne Calls Out Tabloid for Misleading Headline About Ex Cheryl & Baby Bear

Liam Payne is not letting a misleading headline slip by.

The 27-year-old One Direction superstar called out a Daily Mail article on Friday (November 6).

The article, which he screenshotted and posted on Instagram, leads with: “‘It’s not unusual for me to be in and out of his life’: Liam Payne says he and Cheryl agreed he should take some ‘time away’ from son Bear.”

“Usually I let these things slide but this is completely out of context … I couldn’t see my son because of the worldwide pandemic that is happening not because I had anything wrong with me like this headline hints at. This interview was done during the first nationwide lockdown at the height of the coronavirus pandemic and I was discussing not being able to see my child which is a difficult time for any parent I wish sometimes these people would do the research and give context instead of painting people a certain way for click bait,” he wrote.

In September, Liam Payne broke his silence on his recent engagement.

Liam Payne Hasn't Seen His Son Bear During Lockdown

Liam Payne hasn’t seen his son Bear in weeks.

The 26-year-old “Stack It Up” singer opened up about his quarantine life without Bear, 3, in a recent interview with The Sun.

Bear is currently staying with his mother, Liam‘s ex Cheryl, while Liam is in London, England.

“Me and Cheryl had a very open conversation about visiting, but it’s difficult,” Liam said. “It was right around his birthday that it [the lockdown] happened. It was one of the first times I was in the country for his birthday and I was ready to go over and I just thought, ‘I don’t know how I feel about it.’”

“So it’s just been difficult having to put up with a lot of FaceTime, and sometimes he wants to talk on FaceTime, sometimes he doesn’t,” Liam continued. “I have a new-found respect for people who have these jobs that mean they have to miss their kids a lot.”

Liam added during a recent Instagram Live, “Bear is really good. He is learning a lot more about FaceTime at the moment. It is difficult not to see him. That has been the hardest part for me. I’m missing him.”

“I have a mini-Batman which I took off my son,” he also revealed. Cute!

“We are all learning different things about each other and it is difficult and we are all overcoming such a difficult thing,” Liam shared. “But as a glimmer of a positive, there is a nice community feel about it. It is a terrible thing but there is a bit of beauty that we are missing people so much that it has brought life back to us, away from our phones.”
