Meghan Trainor Reveals Her Nickname For Husband Daryl Sabara on 'A Little Late'

Meghan Trainor sits on host Lilly Singh‘s lap during her visit on A Little Late on Wednesday night (October 2).

The 25-year-old singer opened up about her husband, Daryl Sabara, during her interview and revealed the crazy nickname she and her family have for him.

“We call him ‘Serial Killer’ because he looks crazy in a lot of pictures,” Meghan revealed. “But, also, he does, like, suspicious things that we’re like, ‘Are you a serial killer and we just haven’t figured it out yet?’ Like, he’ll go to the movies by himself, but not, like, just one movie, like four back-to-back. Like, solo dolo.”

But although they have that nickname for him, Daryl is anything but.

“He’s the most supportive human being ever and the nicest guy in the world,” Meghan added. “Like, you won’t believe how nice he is.”

Lilly Singh Apologizes For Controversial Turban Comment on Talk Show

Lilly Singh is apologizing for a controversial comment she made on a recent episode of her show A Little Late With Lilly.

The 30-year-old YouTuber and talk show host made a comment about turbans she called “disrespectful and problematic” during an interview with Jessica Alba.

In the interview, Jessica explained that her daughters were big fans of Lilly but were embarrassed that they met her while wearing Turbie Twist towels to dry their hair.

“They wear the towels, the turbo twists, so they like look super not cool in the turbo twists but it dries their hair really quickly, so it’s very practical. I think they definitely had the Turbie Twists on when they said hi,” Jessica said.

In response, Lilly said, “They look like my Punjabi friends. It’s fine!”

Her comments were met with much criticism, leading Lilly to post a heartfelt apology.

“In a recent episode of my show, I stupidly made a comparison about turbans that I’d like to apologize for. My guest was explaining how her kids were embarrassed I saw them with towels twisted on their heads and I said ‘don’t worry, it’s like my Punjabi friends.’ In the moment, my thought process was ‘don’t be embarrassed! I think that’s dope.’ But in hindsight I recognize that was a disrespectful and problematic joke to make that has a lot of painful history behind it. And I’m very sorry,” Lilly wrote on her Twitter.

Lilly continued the apology and explained that the comments will be removed from all of the shows clips.

Lilly Singh Dishes On How She's Learning & Teaching The Network About Female Hosts

Lilly Singh stops by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon ahead of her own late night talk show debut on Monday (September 16) in New York City.

The 30-year-old creator got to spend some time with her fellow talk show hosts, Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers before her debut.

While speaking with Jimmy, Lilly opened up about how she’s learning all about what goes on behind the scenes of a talk show, she’s also teaching NBC some things to – like about manicures and fittings.

“The learning curve goes both ways. So I’m learning about unions, and rules, and laws, and they are learning about a female late night host!” Lilly shared.

She continues, “I was told that there’s not a budget for a manicure, like to get my nails done, because the other late night hosts don’t have one!”

Jimmy decided this was absurd and now wants mani-pedis for all three of them. LOL!

Another thing the network suggested was that Lilly complete her wardrobe change between the shows she taped back to back in just 15 minutes.

“I was like, it takes me 20 minutes to get my spanx on and off,” she said. “I don’t know how you gonna 15 minutes for me to change. Are you kidding me?”

Awkwafina, Kacey Musgraves & More Cover 'Marie Claire'

Actress Awkwafina, singer Kacey Musgraves, U.S. Women’s National Soccer team co-captain Megan Rapinoe, and A Little Late with Lilly Singh‘s Lilly Singh are the cover stars of Marie Claire’s October 2019 issue, on newsstands September 19.

Here’s what the stars had to share with the mag…

Megan, on the differences male and female athletes are treated: “In the same breath that someone would call me arrogant, they wouldn’t call Tom Brady or LeBron James or Michael Jordan arrogant. Even when they do call male athletes arrogant, it’s almost in a positive way. But when it comes from a woman, they’re like, ‘How dare she? How dare she know she’s one of the best players in the world? How dare she take a moment to let 55,000 fans absolutely adore her?’ You know? We don’t allow women the space to be that way.”

Kacey, on her experimentation with psychedelics: “They’ve brought me closer to our planet and to humanity. I’ve walked away with a lot of little gifts.”

Awkwafina, on defying stereotypes against Asian Americans: “It’s going to be hard to not walk into a room as an Asian American woman and not surprise someone with my bawdiness or the way that I yell. It proves a larger point that we’re all different and come from different experiences, and just because this is how you see ‘Asians,’ that’s not how I am. Let me a little color in your landscape.”

Lilly, on how her idols became her friends:Dwayne Johnson, Selena Gomez, Priyanka Chopra. People who I wanted to get their autograph one day. And now I’m in a position where, if I need advice, I call Dwayne.”
