Silicon Valley is coming to an end.

The HBO comedy series will wrap up following its sixth season, Variety reports.

The final season will feature an abbreviated seven-episode run – the shortest season yet.

Silcon Valley is currently in pre-production and is will premiere later this year.

“Silicon Valley has been a career and life highlight for us,” co-showrunners and executive producers Alec Berg and Mike Judge said. “We’ll miss it desperately, but we’ve always let Pied Piper’s journey guide the way, and Season 6 seems to be the fitting conclusion. We are forever indebted to our incredible cast, crew, and partners at HBO. At a certain point, there’s only so much we can do to make the world a better place.”

The series follows the struggle of Richard Hendricks (Thomas Middleditch), a Silicon Valley engineer trying to build his own company called Pied Piper. It also stars Josh Brener, T.J. Miller, Martin Starr, Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani, Amanda Crew, Jimmy O. Yang, Suzanne Cryer, and Matt Ross.

Casey Affleck uses his time at the 2017 Film Independent Spirit Awards to get political.

While accepting the award for Best Male Lead for his role in Manchester by the Sea, the 41-year-old actor slammed Donald Trump‘s administration, calling it “un-American.”

“The policies of this administration are abhorrent and they will not last,” Casey said. “They are un-American.”

Casey was joined at the event by his Manchester co-star Lucas Hedges, director Kenneth Lonergan, and producer Matt Damon who was accompanied by his wife Luciana.

Also spotted at the awards show was Viggo Mortensen and his Captain Fantastic director Matt Ross.

Viggo Mortensen and the cast of his movie Captain Fantastic put their middle fingers in the air while walking the red carpet at the 2017 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday (January 29) in Los Angeles.

The 58-year-old actor is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role and the cast is also up for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Also in attendance were Annalise Basso, George MacKay, Samantha Isler, Nicholas Hamilton, Shree Crooks, Erin Moriarty, Charlie Shotwell, Trin Miller, and writer/director Matt Ross.

If you have seen the movie, you will understand why it is totally appropriate for the cast to be flipping off the photographers together!

The Hidden Figures cast are snatching awards this season!

Janelle Monae and her co-star Jim Parsons hit the stage at the 2016 Variety Creative Impact Awards luncheon on Tuesday (January 3) to help honor Pharrell Willimas with the Creative Impact in Producing Award for shepherding Hidden Figures to the big screen.

“Everybody’s been so poetic today,” Pharrell expressed while accepting his award (via Variety). “You guys said the kindest things ever. Remember, all the motion in our film is powered by some brilliant human being. It’s really been incredible. My heartbeat is doing 90 billion heartbeats per hour.”

Also in attendance at the luncheon, which also served as the 20th Anniversary of Variety‘s 10 Directors to Watch, was Ruth Negga and her Loving director Jef Nichols, Viggo Mortensen and his Captain Fantastic director Matt Ross, and Jane Lynch.

Earlier this week, Janelle, Jim and Pharrell all stepped out to accept their Ensemble Performance Award alongside Octavia Spencer, Mahershala Ali, Kirsten Dunst, Aldis Hodge and Glen Powell at the 2017 Palm Springs International Film Festival.

FYI: Janelle is wearing a Lela Rose top and skirt with a Giuseppe Zanotti clutch and Christian Louboutin shoes. Ruth is wearing Nicholas Kirkwood pumps.

Mark Wahlberg and Andrew Garfield both look dapper in their tuxedos while hitting the red carpet for the 2016 Governors Awards held at the Ray Dolby Ballroom on Saturday (November 12) in Hollywood.

The guys are both in consideration for awards this season for their movies Patriot’s Day and Hacksaw Ridge, respectively.

Other Hollywood hunks in attendance included Sully‘s Aaron Eckhart, Captain Fantastic‘s Viggo Mortensen with his director Matt Ross, Don Cheadle, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Sully and Hacksaw Ridge are currently playing in theaters, Captain Fantastic is available on DVD and on demand, and Patriot’s Day hits theaters on December 21.

Viggo Mortensen flashes a smile alongside Matt Ross while attending the photo call for their latest film Captain Fantastic held during the 2016 Rome Film Festival at Auditorium Parco Della Musica on Monday (October 17) in Rome, Italy.

While promoting the flick, writer-director Matt, 46, expressed his love for Viggo and how he only wanted him for the leading role.

“I’ve admired him since he was in [Sean Penn's 1991 film] The Indian Runner and I’ve followed his work for years,” Matt expressed (via Stuff). “I think he brings an integrity, gravitas to everything he does and that his choices as an actor speak volumes. I also believe that the lead actor is in some ways the public face of the movie, so for me this was a statement of artistic intent, aligning myself with him.”

Viggo Mortensen suits up in black for the big premiere of his new movie Captain Fantastic held at Somerset House on Wednesday (August 17) in London, England.

The 57-year-old actor was joined on the red carpet by director Matt Ross.

Captain Fantastic follows a father devoted to raising his six kids with a rigorous physical and intellectual education, and is forced to leave his paradise and enter the world, challenging his idea of what it means to be a parent.
