The stars join Alison Oliver, an emerging talent from Lir Academy (where Normal People’s Paul Mescal also attended), who will play Frances.

Sasha will star as Bobbi, Joe will play Nick and Jemima is Melissa.

Here’s a plot summary and character descriptions: “Described as both a complex coming of age drama and a very modern love story, Conversations with Friends follows Frances (Oliver), a 21-year-old college student, as she navigates a series of relationships that force her to confront her own vulnerabilities for the first time. Frances is observant, cerebral and sharp. Her ex-girlfriend, now best friend, Bobbi (Lane) is self-assured, outspoken and compelling. Though they broke up three years ago, Frances and Bobbi are virtually inseparable and perform spoken word poetry together in Dublin. It’s at one of their shows that they meet Melissa (Kirke), an older writer, who is fascinated by the pair. Bobbi and Frances start to spend time with Melissa and her husband, Nick (Alwyn), a handsome but reserved actor. While Melissa and Bobbi flirt with each other openly, Nick and Frances embark on an intense, secret affair that is surprising to them both. Soon the affair begins to test the bond between Frances and Bobbi, forcing Frances to reconsider her sense of self, and the friendship she holds so dear.”

The drama is set to air across 12 half-hour episodes, airing next year on the BBC and on Hulu. Filming will take place this year in Dublin, Belfast and international locations still to be announced.

Joe Alwyn also made headlines in recent months for his not-so-secret work with girlfriend, Taylor Swift. Find out more!

David Harbour Explains His Detailed Preparation For 'Hellboy'

David Harbour is opening up about his process preparing for his role in Hellboy.

The 43-year-old actor stepped out for a Build Series interview on Monday afternoon (April 8) in New York City.

He was also joined by his co-stars Milla Jovovich, Daniel Dae Kim and Sasha Lane.

“For me it was really going back to the comics. I went directly back and read all of the Dark Horse comics and I talked to [writer] Mike Mignola. I even did this thing where I read them in order of Hellboy’s trajectory,” David explained.

He continued, “I would cut out frames of them and expressions that he had and body positions that he had. I wanted to mirror direct from the comics.”

New 'Hellboy' Movie Trailer Is Action-Packed - Watch Now!

The new red band trailer for the highly anticipated movie Hellboy has been released!

David Harbour, best known for Stranger Things, plays the title character, a legendary half-demon superhero who is called to the English countryside to battle a trio of rampaging giants.

There he discovers The Blood Queen, Nimue (Milla Jovovich), a resurrected ancient sorceress thirsting to avenge a past betrayal. Suddenly caught in a clash between the supernatural and the human, Hellboy is now hell-bent on stopping Nimue without triggering the end of the world.

Sasha Lane, Daniel Dae Kim, and Ian McShane also star in the upcoming film, which will be released on April 12.

Sasha Lane Opens Up About Her Sexuality & Relationship Status

Sasha Lane is on the cover of ASOS Magazine‘s Spring 2019 issue, out now.

Here’s what the 23-year-old Hellboy star had to say…

On her and her brohter identifying as gay: “Yes. I guess. I don’t know what the terms all mean. It was around Sundance and apparently I came out and they were switching up the words queer and gay. If my heart wants it, my heart wants it. That’s been with anyone. I love who I love or like what I like. My brother though is definitely not about the vagina. There’s a respect but he’s not here for it.”

On what she looks for romantically: “I know I have found this person…but I don’t necessarily want to say who. I need a person who can feel good in their space as well as I do in my space. I’m so protective of my space that hardly anyone gets in besides my brother. Sometimes I feel guilt about how I am, and my mind, and how I have to manage life. But I want that person to know that [my mental state] is a gift rather than just an illness or something I need meds for. If they can recognize that, then we can be. If I can’t be myself around the person I’m gonna be with, then hell no. Bury me next to my brother and I’m good.”

On Hellboy: “I had to take myself deeper because I’m doing green screen, I have a London accent and it was so physical. The stunts were cool, great for de-stressing. You get to learn moves like flipping off someone’s shoulders when you’re shooting them – when would you ever do that in real life? It was my first big film – me, a little ‘indie darling.’ What the hell am I doing here? But now I’m like, ‘Hell yeah! I was in Hellboy, yo!’ I learned a lot, I pushed myself a lot.”
