'Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' Cast Wins at SAG Awards 2020, But They Think 'Fleabag' Should Have Won

Alex Borstein and Rachel Brosnahan accept an award for the cast of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel at the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday (January 19) at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

The cast won the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series and Tony Shalhoub picked up the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series.

More cast members in attendance included Marin Hinkle, Michael Zegen, Matilda Szydagis, Stephanie Hsu, Kevin Pollak, Luke Kirby, Joel Johnstone, Caroline Aaron, and Jane Lynch.

“I voted for Fleabag. This is really weird. This makes no sense! I didn’t vote for Rachel, I didn’t vote for Tony,” Alex said while accepting. Rachel added, “This is a mistake, but thank you.”

The cast also paid tribute to the late Brian Tarantina, who wins a posthumous award for his work on the show.

Rachel walked the red carpet with her husband Jason Ralph.

Cynthia Erivo Reacts to Oscar Buzz at 'Harriet' Premiere: 'Dream Come True'

Cynthia Erivo wows on the red carpet at the premiere of her movie Harriet on Tuesday (October 29) at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.

The 32-year-old actress was joined by her co-stars Janelle Monae, Joe Alwyn, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Mitchell Hoog, and director Kasi Lemmons.

Also in attendance were Terry Crews with wife Rebecca, Kendrick Sampson, This Is UsJon Huertas, UnREAL‘s Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, comedian Loni Love, Colman Domingo, and Broadway stars Stephanie Hsu, Carly Hughes, and Jeremy Pope.

On the red carpet, Cynthia was asked by Variety about the Oscar buzz surrounding her performance.

“When you say it like that… I think I was compartmentalizing it, like little bits at a time, but when you say it all at once, it sounds really crazy and amazing. It’s just a wonderful time. It means a lot. And to be around this, doing this now with all of the things that are happening, it’s a dream come true,” she said.

The longtime couple checked out the touring production of the Broadway musical, which just opened in Los Angeles.

The musical is playing now at the Pantages Theatre through October 27.

Broadway Stars Step Out for Lucille Lortel Awards, Honoring the Best of Off-Broadway!

The awards show honors outstanding achievement in Off-Broadway shows and stars from the Broadway community came out to show support.

Kiss Me Kate‘s Stephanie Styles presented an award alongside Ain’t Too Proud‘s Jeremy Pope, who was joined by co-star Ephraim Sykes.

Reeve and Eva‘s co-star Patrick Page was joined at the show by his wife, Trading SpacesPaige Davis.

Be More Chill stars Will Roland, Stephanie Hsu, and Katlyn Carlson were in attendance to support their show, as well as co-star George Salazar, who won Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical. The show is now on Broadway!

Also in attendance were The Cher Show‘s Stephanie J. Broadway's 'Be More Chill' Cast Celebrates Opening Night - See Photos!

The new musical Be More Chill is now open on Broadway and the cast stepped out to celebrate following the opening night performance on Sunday (March 10) in New York City.

The show’s four leads – Jason Tam, Stephanie Hsu, Will Roland, and George Salazar – gathered for a group photo on the red carpet at the after party at Gotham Hall.

The actors were joined by their co-stars Gerard Canonico, Katlyn Carlson, Tiffany Mann, Lauren Marcus, Britton Smith, and Jason SweetTooth Williams. The show’s swings also stepped out for the party. Stephanie Hsu is currently starring on Broadway in the new musical Be More Chill and we caught up with the actress to learn more about her!

The musical had its first production in 2015 and Stephanie has been tied to the role of Christine Canigula since its inception. In the time since then, she also originated the role of Karen The Computer in Broadway’s SpongeBob SquarePants musical.
