Jason Derulo has opened up about his secret recipe to mastering TikTok.

The 31-year-old singer, who has been taking over the video platform and thrived on it in 2020, spoke to Spout Podcast about why he’s so successful on it.

“I really immersed myself as part of the TikTok community. It’s not me trying just to promote my music,” he explained. “I see too many artists do that, and it’s almost disrespectful.”

Jason did offer up some motivational advice to those wanting to really get involved on the platform and get noticed.

“A lot of really talented people just let life happen. In the beginning, they were so hungry and focused on this one thing. They want to make it out there so badly that hunger makes them make it happen. The problem is when they get there, their work ethic starts to slow down, and new hungrier Jason Derulo type wants it more than you do, and if you are not careful, they’re going to take your spot.”

At the moment, Jason has over 1 billion likes on the platform, and almost 45 million fans.

Natasha Bedingfield is a huge hit on TikTok!

The British singer-songwriter’s 2004 track “Unwritten” has been going viral on the social media app, thanks in part to two dances to a remix of the song, one by @rony_boyy and the other from user @gleefuljhits.

Natasha decided to hop on the trend herself, duetting one of the videos with a clip of her trying out the dance.

In the TikTok, the “Pocket Full of Sunshine” singer wears a neon yellow track suit, rocking back and forth in front of the camera. The video then cuts to her twerking with her sweatpants hanging low.

She captioned the clip, “here goes ! 🙀😹 love love loving this dance you did,” along with some heart emojis.

Natasha‘s video was a huge hit, garnering over 3.7 million views in less than 24 hours!

The 24-year-old girl group superstar and “On the Ground” solo singer, who joined TikTok in March, celebrated reaching 10 million followers on the social media platform by doing the viral “WAP” dance.

“#10M !! Here you go,” she captioned the video of herself doing the dance, soundtracked by the Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion hit.

The video quickly notched over 2 million views in less than 12 hours, and fans began tagging Cardi to get her attention.

Cardi noticed on Sunday (April 4), writing: “She still looks sooo innocent. So Buteee.”

Not everyone is loving Addison Rae‘s dance moves.

The 20-year-old TikTok star made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday (March 26), where she demonstrated several TikTok dances alongside Jimmy Fallon.

However, following the segment, Addison and Jimmy were called out in viral tweets for not crediting the Black creators who made many of those dances.

“I’m literally screaming,” one person wrote, with a side-by-side of the originator of the “Up” dance alongside Addison’s performance.

“This is why I bang on EVERYBODY about the economics and race of social media. ‘Tik tok dances.’ the names of the artists not there. The actual choreographers not there. She’s on national television but where are the Black kids who actually made these,” another person wrote.

“This is a miss @jimmyfallon. Let’s give credit to the black creators……,” wrote The View‘s Sunny Hostin.

“Setting aside the questions of ownership, just look at this video. It’s so miserable. Broken, exhausted culture,” added another.

“It’s kind of hard to credit during the show, but they all know I love them so much, and I support all of them so much. And hopefully one day we can meet up and dance together,” Addison said in an interview after the controversy.

Rochelle Hager, known for her TikTok videos under the username @roeurboat3, has tragically died in a freak accident.

The 31-year-old social media star was driving her 2015 Nissan Rogue on Monday (March 29) in Farmington, Maine when high winds caused a tree branch to fall on top of her car. A Maine newspaper says the impact likely would have killed her instantly. She was the only person in the car and the only person hurt in this devastating tragedy.

Gusts reached up to 55 miles per hour on Monday.

The news was confirmed by her fiancée Brittanie Lynn, who uploaded a TikTok to confirm the tragic news. Our thoughts are with Rochelle’s loved ones during this time.
