The Disney movie Ratatouille is getting the Broadway treatment thanks to a huge TikTok sensation that blew up recently and a star-studded cast has been set to bring the musical to life.

After people on TikTok came together to write songs for a potential musical version of Ratatouille, some Broadway producers came together to set up a one-performance-only production to benefit The Actors Fund. The one-time performance will feature content created by members of TikTok’s #RatatouilleMusical Community, whose collective work has earned the engagement of more than 200 million fans around the globe, and will be performed with the 20-piece Broadway Sinfonietta orchestra.

Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical will begin streaming on Friday, January 1, 2021 at 7:00pm ET for 72 hours only. Tickets for the event are on sale exclusively on TodayTix.com.

Wayne Brady is opening up about teaching his daughter about racism.

During an interview with Access Hollywood, the 48-year-old Who’s Line Is It Anyway? star opened up about a situation where he feared for his 17-year-old daughter Maile‘s safety while in the presence of police.

“A couple years ago, she must have been 14 or 15, and we live in Malibu, her mom lives in Malibu and I wasn’t home,” Wayne recalled. “She set the alarm off in my house. I freaked out because I was giving her the code, and for whatever reason, she put it in wrong and it wouldn’t accept.”

“The alarm company then said, ‘We are sending armed response right now,’” Wayne continued. “I was so worried that my daughter could not explain in the heat of the moment, ‘This it’s my house.’ Was she going to let these armed officers in? I told her ‘Get out of the house right now and run down the street, run down about a half a mile to your mama’s house.’”

Wayne said that Maile questioned it, but he was so worked up and worried that he yelled at her to just go to her mom’s house.

“Because I had an incident a couple years ago when I lived in Sherman Oaks where I locked myself out, and I tripped my own alarm, and I couldn’t turn off the alarm,” Wayne revealed. “And an armed response team came and I had to prove it was my house – and true, that should be the same for anyone when you’re outside of someone’s house. But the fear that these people would hurt me outside of my own house because it’s not unprecedented.”

“I knew that I could handle it because I was a man, but I was fearful for my little girl,” Wayne said.

Wayne said that after that incident, Maile worried that the cops were going to “kill” her so he had to have a talk with her about racism and the police.

Wayne Brady shared a racist joke that was made at his expense during his time on Who’s Line is it Anyway, an improv comedy sketch show.

The sketch started when comedian Ryan Stiles initiated a scene where Wayne, Colin Mochrie, and Jonathan Mangum were part of a police lineup.

“Can you pick out the man that robbed you?” Ryan said, and Colin and Jonathan both indicated to Wayne. When the audience laughed, Wayne said, “Y’all know that’s f*cked up, right?”

Then, host Aisha Tyler initiated another scene with the three white men in the lineup.

She said to Wayne, “Sir, can you pick out the man that embezzled hundreds of millions of dollars in the American economy, and then made you pay for it?”

Wayne Brady is having a very unconventional quarantine experience – but it works!

The 47-year-old comedian revealed that he is co-parenting and co-quarantining with his ex-wife Mandie, her boyfriend Jason and Wayne and Mandie‘s 17-year-old daughter, Maile.

“My ex-wife Mandie and I, we have a different and I think a very special situation than a lot of people that co-parent,” he explained in an Access Hollywood interview.

“Our daughter is 17, so it’s also different than if she were 5. For the entire duration of her life, we have co-parented as best friends. We’ve also lived like 7 minutes away from each other at the most. Right now, we live virtually next door to each other…we quarantine between both of our homes,” he went on to explain.

“We’re like this new nuclear family…family is everything to me. Moments like this bring you closer. We’ve been doing TikToks, playing board games,” he said.

Is Wayne Brady behind the Thingamajig mask on The Masked Singer?!

During a new interview with People, the 47-year-old actor and TV host was presented with three clues that have some viewers convinced that he’s under the green costume.

The clues were “I will tower over the rest of the singers with my puzzling persona,” “I’m here because I love to sing, though you may think that’s not my thing,” and the Thinamajig’s yellow pants – which could reference the time Wayne ripped his pants on Let’s Make a Deal.

To Wayne, he doesn’t think those clues were convincing enough to place him as the Thingamajig.

“Sure. You know what? To you and to anybody watching, ‘I tower above the rest,’ I’m 6 ft,” Wayne shared. “That’s tall. But do I tower above everyone else? I don’t know.”

This isn’t the first time fans were convinced Wayne was on The Masked Singer. Last season, fans thought he was the Monster – who turned out to be T-Pain.

“Last season, I was supposedly the Monster,” Wayne said. “Who was the Monster? T-Pain. Everybody [was saying], ‘I swear that is Wayne Brady!’ Great, go out and swear. It was T-Pain…Then I’m the Thingamajig. Cool. Then I’m the Fox. Great.”

For now, Wayne isn’t phased by all the theories and wants fans to continue coming up with their own guesses.

“So now I say, ‘Cool, if you think I’m that, you know the best way to solve that? Go to iTunes, download my Grammy-nominated record, so go listen,” Wayne advised. “Then you decide if that’s my voice or go online and see any of the concerts that I’ve done across the world and then see if that’s my voice.’”

The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays on Fox at 8pm ET.

Lin-Manuel Miranda and Vanessa Nadal are celebrating opening night!

The Hamilton creator and his wife were in attendance for opening night of Freestyle Love Supreme at the Booth Theatre on Wednesday (October 2) in New York City.

Fifteen years the creation of the original improv troupe, Freestyle Love Supreme is a hip-hop musical from Lin-Manuel, Thomas Kail and Anthony Veneziale.

Here’s a description: “Every performance, the crew takes the crowd on a freestyle, hip-hop, improvisational, never-before-seen comedy ride. See it for the first time every time as the performers take suggestions from the audience and spin them into instantaneous riffs and full-length musical numbers. With special — and spontaneous — guest appearances from Lin-Manuel Miranda, Christopher Jackson, Daveed Diggs, James Monroe Iglehart, and more, every night brings the unexpected.”

Wayne Brady and daugther Maile Masako Brady, Chris Sullivan, Veronica Vazquez and Utkarsh Ambudkar were also in attendance.

Lin-Manuel Miranda‘s “Freestyle Love Supreme” is coming to Broadway!

The 39-year-old composer and his improvisational hip-hop group will start a 16-week run from September to January at Booth Theater, Playbill reports.

Lin-Manuel will co-produce and make surprise appearances in the show.

Other occasional performers include Christopher Jackson, James Monroe Iglehart, Wayne Brady, and Daveed Diggs. The core cast includes Andrew Bancroft, Arthur Lewis, Bill Sherman, Chris Sullivan, Anthony Veneziale, and Utkarsh Ambudkar.

The musical, which has already had a sold-out run downtown this year, will start previews on September 13 and open on October 2.

“Fifteen years ago, when ‘Freestyle Love Supreme’ was first developed, the idea of bringing our little improv show to Broadway seemed completely out of the realm of possibility,” Lin-Manuel Miranda and Thomas Kail said in a statement. “But it is out of that improbability that FLS has found this new home, thanks to legions of loyal fans—first at Ars Nova, at various festivals around the world, then with one-off shows, and most recently with our off-Broadway run last winter. We’ve had many of our happiest and most fulfilling creative moments working on FLS and are excited to see its next chapter unfold at the Booth Theatre. It is a show that consistently surprises us: we have no idea what to expect any time we do it— and isn’t that the true beauty of live theater? ‘Freestyle Love Supreme’ wouldn’t want or have it any other way!”

Tickets go on sale to the general public on July 9.
