The 44-year-old Spice Girl accepted the award for Fashion Icon at the 2018 Peoples’ Choice Awards on Sunday night (November 11) at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.
Victoria sent her “admiration” to the firefighters doing “an incredible job” battling the wildfires in her “second home” of Los Angeles, Calif.
“I always told myself: dream big and then dream even bigger. I wanted to show If I can do it then really anyone can do it. I What you can achieve can really be limitless…if you really, really want it,” she said, referencing her Spice smash “Wannabe.”
There were a lot of moments at the 2018 Peoples’ Choice Awards that you didn’t catch on television as they either happened backstage or in the audience during commercial breaks.
When the cameras weren’t rolling, celebs were out of their seats and greeting each other. Awards shows are always a place where stars get to catch up with one another!
Busy Philipps was seen meeting up backstage with her friend Kim Kardashian before running to the studio for her show Busy Tonight‘s live special.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton skipped the red carpet, but they happily posed for photos backstage and at their seats with The Voice co-star Carson Daly.
The 48-year-old actress hit the stage to accept the Icon Award at the 2018 Peoples’ Choice Awards on Sunday night (November 11) at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.
“Thank you so much for this award. Thank you to everybody here and everyone that voted. Not just because you voted for me — because that would make me an insane narcissist — because it was so overwhelming and incredibly sweet of all of you,” she said during her speech.
“I’m thankful to you because you’ve actually engaged and you cared about things. Movies and music and people in the world around you and you took the time and put the effort in to have your voice be heard and that is tremendously inspiring to me,” she said.
“If you could just do one more thing with your power, because when people come together there’s such incredible power in it, please, keep the victims, volunteers and firefighters in your thoughts and any contributions to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation- $1, $10, 50 cents — it will be put to good use and it will make a difference. There is great power in this room and everyone who’s watching.”
The 33-year-old actress picked up the award for Female Movie Star of 2018 at the 2018 Peoples’ Choice Awards on Sunday night (November 11) at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.
Scarlett was nominated for her role in Avengers: Infinity War.
“I love my job because it not only allowed me to connect with myself, but it allows me to connect with the audience, and so I really dedicate this to all of you and I also dedicate this to the men and women of the Armed Forces who put their lives on the line every day so that we don’t have to. Thank you, thank you, thank you very much,” she said while accepting her award.
She celebrated alongside Danai Gurira, who won Action Movie Star of 2018 and Avengers co-star Pom Klementieff. Avengers: Infinity War also won Action Movie of 2018 and Movie of 2018!
