Inside the awards show, the 69-year-old actor was honored with the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille award for his career in the industry which has spanned over six decades.

“I guess we all have been tagged, we are all alive right here, right now,” Jeff says in his speech. “We are alive, we can make a difference. We can turn this ship in the way we wanna go, man. Towards love, creating a healthy planet for all of us.”

Darren Criss just took home a Golden Globe for his role in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story!

The 31-year-old accepted the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television during the ceremony on Sunday (January 6) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

“This has been a marvelous year for representation in Hollywood, and I’m enormously proud to be a teeny-tiny part of that as the son of a firecracker Filipino woman. So mom I know you are watching this. You are hugely responsible for most of the good things in my I love you dearly. I dedicate there to you,” Darren said on stage.

He also gave a sweet shout out to fiancée Mia Swier.

“Mia, for your undying love and patience,” he said.

The 71-year-old actress won the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for her work in The Wife.

During her speech, Glenn opened up about how her mother felt she hadn’t achieved anything when she reached the end of her life.

“Women, we’re nurturers, that’s what’s expected of us. We have our children, our husbands if we’re lucky, partners… But we have to find personal fulfillment. Follow our dreams. We have to say I can do that & I should be allowed to do that,” she said.

Chris Pine is looking dapper at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards!

The 38-year-old Outlaw King actor took the stage at the event held on Sunday (January 6) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

He presented the Cecil B. DeMille Award to his Hell or High Water co-star Jeff Bridges.

“His remarkable career spans six decades,” Chris said. “From his first appearance on screen to his latest performance, Jeff has set a standard of excellence. He’s made eccentric characters truly iconic – and yes I am talking about El Duderino – and ordinary characters extraordinary and noble.”

“You are not only a master craftsman but also a truly kind and wonderful gentleman,” Chris continued, adding that they both have a “mutual love of caftans and Turkish sandals” as well as “wonderful show biz fathers.”

The 49-year-old actor was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama for his work on the new series Pose.

Pose was also nominated for Best Television Series – Drama and Billy‘s co-stars MJ Rodriguez, Dominique Jackson, and Indya Moore were in attendance.

Also stepping out for the event were producers Ryan Murphy, Janet Mock, and Our Lady J. Ryan went home with an award for The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.
