Abigail Breslin Schools Troll Who Made Ignorant Comment About Rape

Abigail Breslin took to her Instagram to respond to a troll who commented on one of her posts that “reported rapes are the only rapes that count.”

The 21-year-old actress recently revealed that she was the victim of rape.

“I did not report my rape. I didn’t report it because of many reasons. First off, I was in complete shock and total denial….I didn’t want to view myself as a ‘victim,’ so I suppressed it and pretended that it never happened. Second of all, I was in a relationship with my rapist and feared not being believed. I also feared that if my case didn’t lead anywhere, he would still find out and would hurt me even more,” Abigail wrote in her response.

“Thirdly, I knew how hurt my friends and family would be after finding out, and I didn’t want to put them through that,” she continued.

Dirty Dancing's Abigail Breslin on Filming 'Time of My Life' Finale: 'He Knew I Would Murder Him if He Dropped Me'

Abigail Breslin is spilling on what it was like shooting the iconic “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” finale scene for ABC’s upcoming Dirty Dancing remake.

The 20-year-old actress says she was super nervous to recreate the classic moment from the 1987 film, but her co-star Colt Prattes made it easier!

“There was this weight of everyone loving it so much,” Abigail told TV Insider. “Just being graceful is a big enough feat for me, but being graceful while in the air? It was terrifying.”

“Yet we pulled it off – partially due to Colt‘s talent, but also due to the fact that he knew I would murder him if he dropped me,” she joked.

Dirty Dancing centers on Frances “Baby” Houseman (Abigail), who, while vacationing with her family in the Catskills Mountains, falls in love with the camp’s dance instructor Johnny Castle (Colt).

Don’t miss Dirty Dancing when it premieres on May 24!
