Jason Momoa and Alfre Woodard‘s new Apple TV+ series See is out now!

The 40-year-old Frontier actor and the 66-year-old Luke Cage actress promoted their show with Julie Adenuga on Apple Music’s Beats 1. Here’s what they had to share:

Jason on training for the series: “We spent a lot of time training. We spent a good month. Whether it be with, me and my wife in it or my children or as a big General leading an army, we would work with a bunch of extras. We had a solid month just to work on all different types of things to strengthen all the other senses. Even when it comes down to a simple thing as nodding. You’re listening to me nodding, you’re obviously seeing me and agreeing. There is no nodding, so you can’t have that. It’s something that we’ve evolved from by having sight.”

Alfre on what she learned from Jason: “I learned how to swear. And how to kick a mammy jammy in a bar fight. I will throw down in a bar fight now, because I’m not scared. I learned to really appreciate action. You know? I really learned to appreciate it … Jason looks for the action in every moment. It’ll be a scene that says… And Baba Voss is sleeping. He’s still on the pallet of bear fur, lying there asleep. Jason‘s like, ‘Okay, but while I’m sleeping.’ ‘You cut to my dream, and then I grab this guy by the throat. I’m like, pull… I’ll pull his goozwa out.’ Grab my hand. It’s like, Jason, you’re just sleepy. ‘I know, but while I’m there… ‘ This is one of the strongest bros I have ever met. And he is also one of the most tender people I’ve ever met. He is truly a peaceful warrior.”

Jason on having to fight a real bear with an Oreo in his mouth: “I had to train to fight a grizzly bear. You’re going to watch it. It was a Kodiak bear. It stood nine-foot tall. You’re going to see it in episode two. First, you’ve got to… I mean, you have to draw these perimeters. And you have to get it slowly close to you, and be able to interact with it. Yeah, there wasn’t like a CG Revenant thing. So once the episode comes out, I’ll put it on my Instagram, when I put a cookie in my mouth. And then he eats it up. You see my face with the little cookie, and then this massive head comes into the frame and takes- Out of my mouth, which is like… Why was Jason Momoa‘s face eaten off? Can you try to feed a bear with a cookie? It was an Oreo.”

Jason Momoa is not into pumpkins this Halloween!

During a special Halloween appearance on The Late Late Show on Thursday (October 31), the 40-year-old actor and his See co-star Alfre Woodard were tasked with judging a pumpkin carving contest held for host James Corden‘s co-workers.

Corden‘s co-workers put maximum effort into their carvings with a variety of different takes, but if James or Alfre didn’t like a pumpkin, they smashed it into pieces.

Jason also hit the couch with Alfre and talked about almost quitting acting before making it big. He recalls a job he worked at a club — not as a bouncer, but the guy who had to keep people quiet as they came outside after last call.

The 2019 Governors Awards mark the launch of award season and so many of this year’s awards contenders stepped out to celebrate the recipients of the Honorary Oscars.

All eight of the frontrunners in the Best Actress category this year stepped out for the event on Sunday night (October 27) at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood.

In no particular order, Judy‘s Renee Zellweger, Us‘ Lupita Nyong’o, Little Women‘s Saoirse Ronan, Harriet‘s Cynthia Erivo, Marriage Story‘s Scarlett Johansson, The Farewell‘s Awkwafina, Bombshell‘s Charlize Theron, and Clemency‘s Alfre Woodard are the eight favorites to land a nomination at the 2020 Academy Awards, according to the odds gathered by GoldDerby.com.

Joining the stars at the event were Renee‘s Judy co-star Finn Wittrock, Charlize‘s Bombshell co-star John Lithgow, Lupita‘s Us director Jordan Peele, and Alfre‘s Clemency co-star Aldis Hodge.

The 40-year-old actor looked cool in a silk, pink suit as he stepped out for the premiere of his upcoming Apple TV+ series.

The trailer for Alfre Woodard‘s new movie has been released!

The 66-year-old actress stars in the chilling new psychological thriller Clemency, directed by Chinonye Chukwu.

Here’s the synopsis: “Years of carrying out death row executions have taken a toll on prison warden Bernadine William (Alfre). As she prepares to execute another inmate, Bernadine must confront the psychological and emotional demons her job creates, ultimately connecting her to the man she is sanctioned to kill.”

Clemency will be released in theaters on December 27th.

Jason Momoa is starring in the upcoming Apple series See and the official trailer was just unveiled!

The epic world-building drama also stars Alfre Woodard and it will debut exclusively on the new streaming service Apple TV+ on November 1.

The series takes place in the distant future, after a deadly virus decimated humankind. Those who survived, emerged blind. Jason stars as Baba Voss — the father of twins born centuries later with the mythic ability to see — who must protect his tribe against a powerful yet desperate queen who wants the twins destroyed.

See is written and created by Steven Knight and directed by Francis Lawrence. The cast also includes Yadira Guevara-Prip, Sylvia Hoeks, Nesta Cooper, Archie Madekwe, Christian Camargo, Hera Hilmar, and Marilee Talkington.

Donald Glover is all smiles as he hits the stage for The Lion King press conference on Wednesday (July 10) in Beverly Hills, Ca;if.

The 35-year-old entertainer was joined on stage by co-stars Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen as they promoted their highly anticipated live-action Disney film.
