Alicia Keys Performs Beethoven's 'Moonlight Sonata' at Kobe & Gianna Bryant's Celebration of Life - Watch

Alicia Keys takes the stage for a performance during Kobe and Gianna Bryant‘s Celebration of Life on Monday (February 24) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Seated at a purple piano, the 39-year-old entertainer was joined by a string quartet to perform Beethoven‘s “Moonlight Sonata.”

Before Alicia took the stage, Kobe‘s longtime friend and current General Manager for the Lakers Rob Pelinka shared a story about how Kobe taught himself “Moonlight Sonata” on the piano just so that he could perform it for wife Vanessa.

You have to watch Alicia Keys go undercover to surprise unsuspecting Lyft passengers!

The 39-year-old “No One” singer teamed up with the ridesharing company for the hilarious and heartwarming “Undercover Lyft” video shared on Thursday (February 6).

Alicia dropped some major clues and quoted some of her most famous song lyrics, but it took awhile for the riders to pick up on them!

“My alter ego ‘Laura’ gave some rides for a special edition of Undercover @Lyft! 😂,” Alicia shared on Instagram. “Check out the #Underdog herself behind the wheel in LA and drop a hot new collab with Lyft passenger @mxrceloxarcxngel 🙌🏽🙌🏽 Link in story.”

Alicia Keys is opening up about hosting the 2020 Grammys.

The Alicia singer made an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday (January 29).

During her appearance, Alicia discussed how she reacted to the tragic news of Kobe Bryant’s death hours before the ceremony began, and how she honored Kobe “in his house.”

She also spoke about her self-titled album, which will be released on March 20, and why she decided the time was right to name an album after herself. Later on, she performed her new song, “Underdog.”

The 39-year-old host of the show teamed up with Alabama ShakesBrittany Howard to debut a brand new song called “Underdog”.

Grammys 2020: Alicia Keys Sings About the Year in Music to Tune of 'Someone You Loved'

Alicia Keys wrote a fun new song set to the tune of “Someone You Loved” by Lewis Capaldi and she debuted it on stage at the 2020 Grammy Awards on Sunday (January 26) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The Grammys host sang about the year in music while shouting out stars like Beyonce, Rosalia, Jonas Brothers, Billie Eilish, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, Ariana Grande, and more.

“It’s the Grammys/Gonna have a ball/And here’s Alicia Keys/To get you through it all/If you like country/Or you prefer Young Thug/Imma getcha kinda used to hearing music you love,” she sang during the chorus. “At the Grammys/Ten thousand hours long/So keep the speeches short/And go for one more song/To all my overkills/And all my underdogs/Imma getcha kind of used to knowing music is love.”

Alicia Keys Pays Tribute to Kobe Bryant While Opening Grammys 2020, Sings with Boyz II Men (Video)

Alicia Keys is hosting the 2020 Grammys and she opened the show by paying tribute to Kobe Bryant, who was tragically killed in a helicopter crash earlier in the day.

The 39-year-old singer appeared on stage after Lizzo‘s opening performance at the event on Sunday (January 26) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

“Earlier today, Los Angeles, America and the whole wide world lost a hero,” Alicia said in her speech. “We’re literally standing here in the house that Kobe Bryant built.”

“Right now, Kobe and his daughter, Gianna, and all those who have been tragically lost today are in our hearts, our spirit, our prayers,” she added.

Alicia was joined by Boyz II Men for a performance their song “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye.”
