During her appearance, Amanda opened up about life at home with daughter Nina and her newborn son, which she welcomed with husband Thomas Sadoski earlier this year.

“It’s incredible. I just ran back to my house just to sniff him. It’s kind of crazy, you know everybody says it’s crazy to be home, but this is a silver lining, I get to be with him,” she gushed.

She also talked about life with her growing daughter.

“I think because she’s 3 and a half…we prepared her really well and she’s the sweetest, gentlest…she’s been a dream…she’s performing all the time. She sings all the time, decently. She’s a decent singer and she’s always performing. She has her dolls. She just doesn’t shut up and it’s a good thing. I don’t want her to stop, but sometimes we have to say to her, can you bring it down a notch… I don’t want to stop any of that, but, man, it’s too much sometimes. I’m just like, ‘Can you just be into science right now?’” she said.

She also revealed why she turned down this big role.

Amanda Seyfried Explains Why She Turned Down Zoe Saldana's Role in 'Guardians of the Galaxy'

Amanda Seyfried could have played the role of Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy but turned down the part in the James Gunn-directed Marvel film.

Now, she’s explaining why she decided to pass on the smash-hit film.

“I didn’t want to be part of the first Marvel movie that bombed,” Amanda said on THR‘s Awards Chatter podcast. “I said, ‘Who wants to see a movie about a talking tree and a raccoon?’ Which is clearly — I was very wrong.” Worldwide, Guardians made exactly $772,776,600 at the box office, which is considered a massive success!

“The script was great, it was all based in not wanting to be ‘that guy,’” Amanda continued. “Because if you are the star of a giant movie like that, and it bombs, Hollywood does not forgive you. I’ve seen that happen to people and it was a giant, giant fear and I thought, is it worth it?”

The role eventually went to Zoe Saldana, who has portrayed Gamora in several movies now.
