Amber Heard Disses Johnny Depp's Lawyer on Twitter After Her Victory in Court

Amber Heard clapped back after Johnny Depp‘s lawyer tweeted about her and tried to discount her allegations against her ex-husband.

It was reported on Thursday (March 25) that Johnny was denied a retrial in his “wife beater” case in the UK.

Adam Waldman, who was previously on Johnny‘s legal team, tweeted after the news was announced and said, “12/15/15 allegation ‘I had bruised ribs. Bruises all over my body, bruises on my forearms from trying to defend the blows. I had 2 black eyes. I had a broken nose. I had a broken lip.’ Justice Nichols – I believe her. UK Appeals Court – we believe him. But oops … PHOTO SHOOT!”

Included in the tweet were two photos of Amber posing on the beach.

Amber responded to the tweet and said, “Yes Mr Waldman, I may be wearing makeup on this occasion but on every occasion you will still be short.”

It was reported in October 2020 that the judge in Johnny‘s U.S. libel case against Amber threw Waldman off the case after it was found that he allegedly gave confidential information to the press.

Amber Heard Responds to Johnny Depp's Denial for UK Appeal in 'Wife Beater' Trial

Amber Heard‘s reps are responding to the news that Johnny Depp was denied an appeal in the UK trial against the use of the phrase “wife beater.”

Depp requested a retrial back in December for his 2020 libel claim against The Sun over an article calling him a “wife beater” amid his ex wife’s allegations against him, which a High Court judge found was “substantially true.” Today, he was denied.

Amber‘s reps responded, “We are pleased — but by no means surprised — by the Court’s denial of Mr. Depp’s application for appeal. The evidence presented in the UK case was overwhelming and undeniable. To reiterate, the original verdict was that Mr. Depp committed domestic violence against Amber on no fewer than 12 occasions and she was left in fear of her life. The verdict and lengthy, well-reasoned Judgment, including the Confidential Judgment, have been affirmed. Mr. Depp’s claim of new and important evidence was nothing more than a press strategy, and has been soundly rejected by the Court.”

Amber revealed a lot of bombshells on the stand and one of her emails to Depp was actually read aloud in court.

Johnny Depp Denied UK Appeal Trial in 'Wife Beater' Case

Johnny Depp has been denied a chance for a retrial in the UK.

Depp requested a retrial back in December for his 2020 libel claim against The Sun over an article calling him a “wife beater” amid his ex wife Amber Heard‘s allegations against him, which a High Court judge found was “substantially true.”

Today, a judge denied that ruling, and his lawyers issued a statement in response.

“The evidence presented at last week’s hearing (the appeal of Mr. Depp vs. News Group Newspapers LTD) further demonstrates that there are clear and objective reasons to seriously question the decision reached in the U.K. court,” Joelle Rich of Schillings Partners told THR. “Mr. Depp looks forward to presenting the complete, irrefutable evidence of the truth in the U.S. libel case against Ms. Heard where she will have to provide full disclosure.”

His lawyers argued last week that Amber has failed to pay charitable donations from her divorce settlement with him, which was supposed to total $7 million.

Meanwhile, Amber‘s lawyers have responded to the claim that she pocketed the divorce settlement.

Johnny Depp Wants Retrial in Libel Case, Claims Amber Heard Failed to Make Her Charitable Donations

Johnny Depp‘s legal team stood before the UK Court of Appeal on Thursday (March 18) to argue why they believe he deserves a retrial in his Amber Heard trial.

Depp requested a retrial back in December for his 2020 libel claim against The Sun over an article calling him a “wife beater” amid his ex wife’s allegations against him, which a High Court judge found was “substantially true.”

His lawyers argued today that Amber has failed to pay charitable donations from her divorce settlement with him, which was supposed to total $7 million. They called this a “manipulative lie” that “tipped the scales,” according to Deadline.

Meanwhile, Amber‘s lawyers have responded to the claim that she pocketed the divorce settlement.

About if the appeal will be granted, Lord Justice Underhill said, “We are not going to reach an immediate decision today but we will make it very shortly and it will be handed down in writing.”
