Amy Adams & Glenn Close Star in 'Hillbilly Elegy' - Watch the Trailer!

The trailer for Ron Howard‘s new film Hillbilly Elegy has just debuted!

The film stars Amy Adams, Glenn Close, Gabriel Basso, Haley Bennett, Freida Pinto, Bo Hopkins and Owen Asztalos.

Here’s a synopsis: J.D. Vance (Basso), a former Marine from southern Ohio and current Yale Law student, is on the verge of landing his dream job when a family crisis forces him to return to the home he’s tried to forget. J.D. must navigate the complex dynamics of his Appalachian family, including his volatile relationship with his mother Bev (Adams), who’s struggling with addiction. Fueled by memories of his grandmother Mamaw (Close), the resilient and whip-smart woman who raised him, J.D. comes to embrace his family’s indelible imprint on his own personal journey.

The film will debut on November 24 on Netflix.

Danny Pino Joins 'Dear Evan Hansen' Movie Cast in Role That's Being Reconceived from Broadway Show

Danny Pino has joined the star-studded cast of the upcoming Dear Evan Hansen movie!

The 46-year-old actor, best known for his work on shows like Cold Case and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, will be playing a role that is being reconceived from the Broadway show.

The story revolves around “Evan Hansen, a high schooler with social anxiety. He unintentionally gets caught up in a lie after the family of a classmate who committed suicide mistakes one of Hansen’s letters for their son’s suicide note.”

Danny will be playing the stepfather of the student who commits suicide. Amy Adams will be playing the mother of the student.

In the Broadway musical, Larry Murphy is the father of the student, Connor, but the character will now be a stepfather, according to THR.

Ben Platt, Kaitlyn Dever, Colton Ryan, Amandla Stenberg, and Nik Dodani are also starring in the movie version of the Tony-winning musical.

Amy Adams is joining the cast of the upcoming film adaptation of the Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen!

The story revolves around “Evan Hansen, a high schooler with social anxiety. He unintentionally gets caught up in a lie after the family of a classmate who committed suicide mistakes one of Hansen’s letters for their son’s suicide note.”

The Oscar-nominated actress will play Cynthia Murphy, the mother of Connor, the student who commits suicide, according to Deadline.

Ben Platt is reprising his Tony-winning role as Evan. Colton Ryan will playing Connor, a role he played on Broadway, while Kaitlyn Dever will play his sister Zoe. Amandla Stenberg has also joined the cast in a role that is expected to be expanded.

Earlier this month, Amy lined up a brand new project with Netflix.

The first teaser trailer for the upcoming Justice League: The Snyder Cut has been released!

Zack Snyder was the original director of the DC Universe movie Justice League, but he had to drop out in the middle of filming due to a family emergency and Joss Whedon was brought in to finish the movie.

The film was not well-received and fans have been asking Zack to release his own cut for years… and now he finally is doing that.

During the DC Fandome event on Saturday (August 22), Zack revealed that the film will be released on HBO Max in 2021 in four, one-hour segments. There will also be an option to watch the project as one, four-hour movie.

Featured in the trailer are Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and Ezra Miller as The Flash, as well as more franchise stars like Amy Adams, Amber Heard, Kiersey Clemons, and Diane Lane.

Zack revealed during the panel that Cyborg is the “heart of the movie,” and that the character “holds the team together in a lot of ways,” according to Variety.

Amy Adams Will Produce & Star in Netflix Limited Series 'Kings of America'

Amy Adams has lined up a brand new project at Netflix.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 45-year-old actress will star in one of the lead roles in limited series Kings of America.

Succession’s Adam McKay will also direct.

Kings of America will also tell the stories of a Walmart heiress, a maverick executive and a long-time Walmart saleswoman and preacher who fought against the retail giant in the biggest class action lawsuit in U.S. history.

Amy is also listed as an executive producer through her Bond Group Entertainment company.

Earlier this week, it was also revealed that Amy‘s already filmed movie, The Woman in the Window, is in talks to premiere on Netflix.

If you missed it, Amy has also been tapped to star in another flick who is convinced she’s turning into this animal.

Amy Adams' 'The Woman In The Window' In Talks For Netflix Deal, Will Skip Theatrical Release

Amy Adams‘ next movie, The Woman in the Window, could be heading to Netflix instead of debuting in theaters.

Deadline is reporting that the streaming service.is in talks with 20th Century Studios to bring the flick, which is already filmed, to the platform.

It’s still unclear when the film would debut.

The Woman in the Window is based on book of the same name from A.J. Finn.

Amy plays Anna Fox, an agoraphobic child psychologist who lives alone in a New York suburb, and while spying on some of her neighbors, witnesses something she shouldn’t have.

Anthony Mackie, Wyatt Russell, and Gary Oldman also star.

Amy Adams to Play Woman Convinced She's Turning Into a Dog

Amy Adams will be starring in the upcoming movie Nightbitch, in which she’ll play a woman who is convinced that she may be turning into a dog.

The six-time Oscar-nominated actress will also produce the movie, which is based on author Rachel Yoder‘s upcoming debut novel of the same name.

Deadline report that Nightbitch is “a darkly comedic telling of an unnamed woman and former artist, thrust into stay-at-home domesticity after the birth of her son, who becomes increasingly worried and convinced that she may be turning into a dog.”

The book will be published in summer 2021.

Nightbitch will be made at Annapurna Pictures, a studio that Amy has worked with in the past. The studio made her previous movies The Master, American Hustle, Vice, and Her.
