Richard Madden and Amy Adams are featured in Variety‘s new Actors on Actors feature.

The pair swapped stories about filming nude scenes in various projects.

Richard asked Amy “How do you get your head into that?” while filming her intimate scenes for Sharp Objects.

Amy responded, “Whiskey. No, I didn’t drink at all except once, and that was because I felt the character had to come from such a raw place and her need had to be there. That was scary for me to go to a place of that deep dysfunction. And intimacy is so personal. It’s not easy. None of it’s easy for me. But what about you?”

Richard added for himself, “I always find that there’s something when you’ve not got your clothes on, when you are in bed with someone, there’s a way you speak to each other, there’s a side that you expose that we just couldn’t do if we were both fully dressed in bed.”

Amy Adams fans are coming to her defense.

The 44-year-old Oscar-nominated actress was one of 26 actors named on Jezebel‘s “Actors Who Are Bad at Acting” list, posted on Thursday (June 6).

“This is a list of actors who are not really good actors, contrary to what you might think,” wrote the author, Culture Editor Clover Hope. “These are people who make you stop and wonder, Hm, are they good?”

The list also names: Brie Larson, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael B. Jordan, Nicholas Cage, John Travolta, Kristen Stewart, Daniel Radcliffe, Adam Sandler, Gwyneth Paltrow, Vin Diesel, Chloe Moretz, Emma Watson, Anthony Mackie, Jessica Alba, Armie Hammer, Mark Wahlberg, Kevin Costner, Bradley Cooper, Scarlett Johansson, Ashton Kutcher, Chris Evans, Ansel Elgort, Gal Gadot, Angelina Jolie, and Sienna Miller.

Amy‘s name immediately started trending on Twitter.

“Leave Amy Adams alone. She’s phenomenal in everything she does,” one user wrote, while another added, “Whoever said Amy Adams is a bad actress can catch these hands.”

Glenn Close has signed on for her next movie role!

The 72-year-old seven-time Oscar nominated actress will be joining Amy Adams in the upcoming movie Hillbilly Elegy directed by Ron Howard.

The movie is a Netflix film and it’s based on the best-selling memoir of the same name by J.D. Vance.

Hillbilly Elegy is “a modern exploration of the American Dream and follows three generations of an Appalachian family as told by its youngest member, a Yale Law student forced to return to his hometown.”

Amy Adams is definitely a busy woman!

The 44-year-old actress was all smiles as she left a business meeting at a movie studio on Tuesday (April 9) in Los Angeles.

Amy wore a black button-down shirt, blue jeans, and black booties for her meeting.

Earlier this week, Amy appeared on a Deadline panel to discuss her hit HBO miniseries, Sharp Objects.

“When this came across my desk, it terrified me. (I thought) I should probably explore this,” Amy said of her decision to take on the role of troubled reporter Camille Preaker in the critically-acclaimed series.

Amy’s next role is in The Woman in the Window which hits theaters on October 4.

There’s a possibility that HBO could be bringing Sharp Objects back to television for a sequel series!

Amy Adams and Patricia Clarkson starred in the limited series based on the novel by Gillian Flynn.

Showrunner Marti Noxon opened up at the SXSW Film Festival on Saturday (March 9) about continuing the story. She said that the limited series “didn’t necessarily tell the whole story of Camille’s life,” according to THR.

“Maybe there will be a sequel and we’ll get to find out,” Marti said. “Gillian and I have some thoughts on it.”

Marti added that there hasn’t been movement on a sequel beyond her and Gillian thinking about ideas for the story. She also thinks that not all limited series necessarily need sequels.

“I do think there are certain things that are just limited, and should be,” she said. “I didn’t necessarily think The Handmaid’s Tale needed to continue — that book is just perfect. … It’s only if you can see more [story] and see the world expanding that you should try and go for more.”
