Ansel Elgort was sparkling while hitting the carpet at the 2020 Golden Globe Awards!

The 25-year-old actor stepped out for the annual event on Sunday evening (January 5) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Ansel looked sharp in a navy velvet suit which he accessorized with a bow tie and butterfly brooch.

He topped off the look with glitter eye makeup and a sparkling manicure.

The Golden Globes will be hosted by actor and comedian Ricky Gervais this year, marking his fifth time as host. Make sure to tune in at 8pm ET/5pm PT on NBC.

FYI: Ansel is wearing a Tom Ford suit.

Ansel Elgort is dapper in a suit while stepping out for the HBO Documentary Films world premiere screening of Very Ralph held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on (October 23) in New York City.

The 25-year-old actor was joined at the event by models Karlie Kloss, Lily Aldridge and her sister Ruby, Hilary Rhoda, Taylor Hill, Georgia Fowler and Kate Bock, as well as director and producer Susan Lacy, and guest of honor Ralph Lauren and his family.

Very Ralph is the first documentary portrait of fashion icon Ralph Lauren, debuting on Tuesday (November 12) exclusively on HBO. The feature-length film reveals the man behind the icon and the creation of one of the most successful brands in fashion history.

The couple were among the many stars who stepped out to check out the show, which is creating a ton of buzz for Broadway right now.

Ansel and Violetta are clearly still very much in love. Their relationship was put in the spotlight last week after he made comments about wanting to feel free to fall in love with other people.

The comments then led to the online bullying of Ansel‘s West Side Story co-star Rachel Zegler, who announced a break from Twitter following the tweets she was receiving from his fans.

Rachel Zegler, the young actress who is playing Maria in the West Side Story movie, announced she’s taking a break from Twitter after she was treated poorly by trolls on the social media app.

The 18-year-old actress previously tweeted about “falling in love” with Ansel on-screen on the day the film wrapped last week.

“There really aren’t enough words to describe the pride I have in Ansel‘s growth and beauty and literal magic he possesses on screen and off. Falling in love with him was easy. Happy wrap mi amor; catch ya on a fire escape sometime soon,” Rachel tweeted on September 27. The tweet has since been deleted.

Since that tweet, Ansel publicly commented on how he wants to find love with people other than his girlfriend, though he’s not looking for anything sexual with anyone else. Fans have been calling Rachel a “homewrecker” and sending her inappropriate DMs, which caused her to speak out.

“the fact that i have to say something is absolutely absurd. but the DMs and the name-calling and throwing around the word homewrecker over me expressing genuine love i have for my coworker is heartbreaking and i don’t want any part of it. so peace for now, i guess. be nice,” Rachel tweeted on Thursday night (October 3). The message was deleted soon after.

One message of Rachel‘s that is still up reads, “the internet has made me upset so goodbye for a bit be nice to each other.”

Ansel Elgort is opening up about his non-traditional view on love and wanting to have the freedom to fall in love with more women than just his girlfriend.

The 25-year-old The Goldfinch actor doesn’t want to have a sexual relationship with other women, but he still wants to fall in love.

Ansel has been dating ballerina Violetta Komyshan since they met in high school back in 2012.

“It doesn’t need to be sexual. I could be done sexually with my girlfriend,” Ansel said in a new interview with The Times. “I think we’ve been pretty clear that I want to feel free to fall in love with people and that [option] should be open, but sexually it can be closed off.”

“I’m in love with a bunch of my male friends who I’m not interested in having sex with, so why can’t I put the desire to have sex with women aside and let myself have love with women? I love [Divergent and The Fault in Our Stars co-star] Shailene Woodley and we never had anything sexual and that was great. There will probably be some sort of chemical thing at some point that you can’t help, but you just have to be disciplined and not be a f—— … We’re primitive beings,” Ansel added.

Ansel Elgort is killing critics’ negative reviews of his movie, The Goldfinch, with kindness.

Taking to his Instagram Story, the 25-year-old actor addressed the negative reviews about the film.

“Critics are usually really great writers and they have to kind of choose a side,” Ansel stated in the video. “They decided that pointing out everything wrong with the film is the best way to write their reviews, their articles. They are all great articles, too. All the bad reviews are well written but there is a lot of good in the film, too.”

He continued, “The film does work and the people who see it enjoy it and are moved by it. The most important person it moved for me was my mother, and she’s not moved by all of my films. She really liked this one, which made me really like it, too.”

“So it’s still in theaters, take your mom,” Ansel added.

The Goldfinch, which also stars Nicole Kidman and Oakes Fegley, is still in theaters.

Austin Butler landed the role of Elvis Presley in the upcoming Baz Luhrmann biopic, but there were numerous actors up for the role in the weeks leading up to the decision.

One of the finalists for the role, Ansel Elgort, just gave an interview where he revealed what happened in his audition.

”That wasn’t a bad audition. I think it was great,” Ansel told the Huffington Post. “I was in the middle of filming ‘West Side Story,’ so it was a little hard. I watched a ton of footage and memorized some of his interviews just to get his speech pattern down and sang a bunch of his stuff.”

Then, Ansel added, “But I wasn’t really prepared.”

Ansel has been hard at work on West Side Story, which will hit theaters in December of 2020.
