Bill Clinton is paying tribute to Aretha Franklin at her funeral.

The 72-year-old former President of the United States spoke at the late Queen of Soul’s funeral service on Friday (August 31) held at Greater Grace Temple in Detroit, Michigan.

“This woman got us all here in these seats today. Not because she had this breathtaking talent, which she did…but because she lived with courage. Not without fear, but overcoming her fears,” he said.

The former President is one of many performers and speakers at the over six hour long ceremony, celebrating the life and legacy of the soul singer who sadly died earlier this month at the age of 76.

Chaka Khan is paying tribute to Aretha Franklin.

The 65-year-old superstar performed gospel classic “Goin’ Up Yonder” at the funeral service for the late Queen of Soul being held at Greater Grace Temple on Friday (August 31) in Detroit, Mich.

The 25-year-old “No Tears Left to Cry” superstar performed “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” at the Greater Grace Temple on Friday morning (August 31) in Detroit, Michigan during the late Queen of Soul’s funeral.

Faith Hill is paying tribute to Aretha Franklin.

The 50-year-old country singer performed “What a Friend We Have In Jesus” at the Greater Grace Temple on Friday morning (August 31) in Detroit, Michigan during the late Queen of Soul’s funeral.

Faith is one of many performers and speakers at the over six hour long ceremony, celebrating the life and legacy of the soul singer who sadly died earlier this month at the age of 76.

“GLORY, GLORY, GLORY to the ALMIGHTY!!! The choir of angels now have the greatest voice of all time to lead, praise and join in to sing before Jesus. I wanted to share this photo because it shows just how soulful Aretha was without uttering a word. To say I was humbled to be in her presence would be an understatement,” Faith wrote upon the passing of Aretha on her Instagram.

The life and legacy of the late Aretha Franklin is being honored on Friday (August 31) at her star-studded funeral at Greater Grace Temple in her hometown of Detroit, Mich.

The funeral service will include speeches from Rev. Jesse Jackson, Smokey Robinson and former President of the United States Bill Clinton.

There will also be several performances throughout the funeral service by acts including Faith Hill, Ariana Grande, Stevie Wonder and Jennifer Hudson.

Aretha died at the age of 76 on August 16.

Aretha Franklin will be laid to rest during a private funeral service on Friday (August 31) and there will be a star-studded lineup of entertainers speaking and performing throughout the service.

The full schedule was revealed by Detroit TV station WDIV4 and it shows that the funeral is scheduled to last over five and a half hours. TMZ revealed the songs that performers will sing.

The funeral will take place at Greater Grace Temple in Detroit, Mich. While the service is just for friends and family, fans can watch the funeral live on Detroit television stations or online.

Franklin died on August 16 at the age of 76 earlier this month following a battle with pancreatic cancer.
