Austin Butler walks behind girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens while leaving their home in Los Angeles on Tuesday (July 16).

The 27-year-old actor was a gentleman and opened the car door for Vanessa, 30, while heading out for the day.

Just the day before, the longtime couple were spotted out celebrating Austin winning the role of Elvis Presley in the upcoming biopic and Vanessa had such a cute reaction.

Later on, she even shared a funny clip of her performing in Grease Live during the “Look at Me, I’m Sandra Dee” number, where she references Elvis.

“Dead looool @austinbutler,” she captioned.

It was just announced earlier today that Austin will be playing the King of Rock N’ Roll in Baz Luhrmann‘s upcoming biopic alongside Tom Hanks.

It’s safe to say that Vanessa Hudgens is really excited about boyfriend Austin Butler‘s new movie role.

If you missed it earlier, Austin, 27, was cast as Elvis Presley in the upcoming biopic from Baz Luhrmann. He’ll star in the film with Tom Hanks and begin shooting next year.

Vanessa took to her Instagram with the best reaction ever:

“I AMMMM OVERRRR THE F***ING MOOOOOOOOONNNNN,” Vanessa wrote. “I CANT WAIT 😍😍😍😍😍😍 SO PROUD OF MY HONEYYYYY!!!”

Austin reportedly beat out Harry Styles, Ansel Elgort, and Miles Teller for the part.

Congrats are in order for Austin Butler, who is set to play Elvis in the upcoming Baz Luhrmann biopic.

Variety reports that the 27-year-old Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor won the part after a weekend of full hair and makeup test.

Austin reportedly beat out Harry Styles, Ansel Elgort, and Miles Teller for the part.

The movie centers on the relationship between the Presley’s manager, Col. Tom Parker (Tom Hanks), and the young singer, who came from dirt-poor origins to become an iconic star who changed the course of music.

The flick is set to start shooting at the start of next year.

There are four actors who are in the running to play Elvis Presley in an upcoming film about the legendary entertainer, to be directed by Baz Luhrmann.

The Moulin Rouge and Great Gatsby director is working on a biopic about the singer and actor, but not much is known about the project. The film is not based on any source material and Luhrmann wrote a new script with his writing partner Craig Pearce.

Ansel Elgort, Harry Styles, Austin Butler, and Miles Teller are said to be the four stars who are frontrunners to land the role, according to Deadline. TheWrap also reports that Aaron Taylor-Johnson is in contention.

Tom Hanks is in talks to play Elvis’ manager Colonel Tom Parker.

Earlier in the week, Vanessa joined Austin at the premiere of his new movie, The Dead Don’t Die in New York City before flying back home.

If you missed it, Vanessa will be starring as Allie in Powerhouse Theater’s upcoming live reading of The Notebook later this month.
