Prince William is speaking up about the lack of diversity at the 2020 EE British Academy Film Awards.

During his speech at the event, where he presented this year’s BAFTA Fellowship to Star Wars producer Kathleen Kennedy, commented on the lack of actors of color and women who were passed over for nominations.

“We find ourselves talking again about the need to do more to address diversity in the sector. That cannot be right in this day and age. I know Pippa [Harris] and Amanda [Berry] share that frustration,” he shared on stage. “BAFTA take this issue seriously, and following this year’s nominations have launched a full review…to ensure the opportunities are available to everyone.”

The Duke of Cambridge also serves as the BAFTA president.

Joaquin Phoenix, who won for Best Actor, also criticized the lack of diversity.

Lily-Rose Depp, Joe Alwyn and Kaitlyn Dever step out in style for the 2020 EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday (February 2) at Royal Albert Hall in London, England.

The three stars were joined by Kaitlyn‘s fellow EE Rising Star nominees, Jack Lowden and Blue Story‘s Micheal Ward, who won the honor.

Rafferty Law, and Asa Butterfield were also seen on the red carpet.

Taika Waititi poses in the press room with the stars of 1917 at the 2020 EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday (February 2) at Royal Albert Hall in London, England.

George MacKay and Dean-Charles Chapman presented the award for Best Adapted Screenplay to Taika for his work on the movie Jojo Rabbit!

Taika was also joined at the event by the film’s stars Roman Griffin Davis and Rebel Wilson. Also there was Scarlett Johansson, who was nominated for her work in the movie.

FYI: George is wearing Celine by Hedi Slimane. Rebel is wearing a custom Prabal Gurung gown and Rupert Sanderson shoes. Taika wore Wolf & Shepherd shoes.

Brad Pitt won an award at the 2020 BAFTAs, but he wasn’t in attendance so his co-star Margot Robbie accepted on his behalf!

The 56-year-old actor won Best Supporting Actor for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood at the event, which took place on Sunday (February 2) at Royal Albert Hall in London, England.

Margot was also nominated for her work in the film, though she did not win. She appeared on stage to accept Brad‘s award and read a speech he prepared.

“Hey Britain, heard you just became single, welcome to the club. Wishing you the best with the divorce settlement,” he wrote in the speech, referring to Brexit.

Margot said, “[Pitt] says he is going to name this Harry because he is really excited about bringing it back to the States with him. His words not mine.”

Brad also made headlines with his funny speeches at the SAG Awards and the Golden Globes!

Olivia Colman and Vanessa Kirby hit the red carpet in their gorgeous looks at the 2020 EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday (February 2) at Royal Albert Hall in London, England.

The two stars, who both starred on The Crown, arrived at the show alongside another Crown star, Gillian Anderson.

Taron Egerton walks the carpet in a sharp, deep violet blazer at the 2020 EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday (February 2) at Royal Albert Hall in London, England.

The 30-year-old actor posed for a few pics with his longtime girlfriend, Emily Thomas, and mom, Christine (not pictured).

Taron was up for Best Actor at the show tonight for his role as Elton John in Rocketman. Joaquin Phoenix took home the prize.

FYI: Taron wore an Armani suit for the award show.

The full list of winners for the 2020 BAFTAs was just revealed!

1917 was the big winner of the night, taking home the award for Best Film and six other awards, including Best Director for Sam Mendes.

The same four actors who won at the Golden Globes, the SAG Awards, and the Critics’ Choice Awards all won here, basically cementing their Oscar glory next weekend.

Joker was the most nominated movie of the year with 11 nominations and it took home a few awards, including Best Actor for Joaquin Phoenix.
