Morgan Wallen Remains at No. 1 for the 10th Week on Billboard 200 With 'Dangerous'

Morgan Wallen remains at No. 1 on the charts.

The 27-year-old singer-songwriter’s Dangerous: The Double Album is still at the top spot for a tenth week on the Billboard 200 as of Sunday (March 21), the company reported.

Last month, footage surfaced of the singer using a racial slur, which has yet to make any significant impact on his sales, despite being suspended from his record label and ineligible for some awards.

Dangerous is the first album to spend its first 10 weeks at No. 1 since 1987 when Whitney Houston’s Whitney stayed at No. 1 for 11 weeks, and has the most total weeks at No. 1 since Drake’s Views spent 13 nonconsecutive weeks on top in 2016.

It’s also the first album to have 10 weeks in a row at No. 1 in total since Adele’s 21 in 2012.

Dangerous is also one of just four country albums to spend at least 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Drake Makes Billboard History by Debuting Three Songs in Hot 100's Top Three Slots

Drake is making music history!

The 34-year-old rapper dropped a new EP on March 5 with three brand new songs… and now all three songs have debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 in the top three slots.

“What’s Next” debuted at number one, “Wants and Needs” featuring Lil Baby is at number two, and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” featuring Rick Ross sits at number three.

Drake is the first artist to ever debut three songs in the Hot 100′s top three simultaneously. He’s not the first artist to have three songs in the top three spots though. The Beatles and Ariana Grande have both had songs at numbers 1, 2, and 3 at the same time in the past.

After eight weeks at number one, Olivia Rodrigo‘s song “Driver’s License” has dropped to the number five slot while Silk Sonic‘s “Leave the Door Open” debuted at number four.

Dangerous is now one of only six country albums that have spent at least eight weeks in total at No. 1, earning 82,000 equivalent album units in the past week.

It now ties Taylor Swift’s 2020 album Folklore for the second-most weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in the last five years across all genres. Drake’s Views has the most weeks at No. 1 in the last five years, with 13 nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 back in 2016.
