Brandon Micheal Hall is all smiles on the blue carpet as he arrives at the 2018 CBS Upfronts on Wednesday (May 16) at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.

The actor was joined at the event by co-stars Joe Morton, Violett Beane, Suraj Sharma, and Javicia Leslie as they promoted their new show God Friended Me at the press event.

Here’s the synopsis: “Questions of faith, existence and science are explored in this humorous, uplifting series about an outspoken atheist (Brandon) whose life is turned upside down when he is ‘friended’ by God on social media. Unwittingly, he becomes an agent of change in the lives and destinies of others around him,” Deadline reports.

God Friended Me will premiere this fall on CBS.

The freshman ABC series The Mayor has been canceled and future episodes of the comedy will not be aired on the network.

Four completed episodes of the series, starring Brandon Micheal Hall and Lea Michele, have yet to air and there are no plans for them to be released as of now.

ABC Studios, which is separate from the actual network, produced the series and they plan on shopping it to other networks.

The Mayor debuted in early October to just 4.08 million viewers and it has slid to 2.81 million viewers in its most recent showing.

The 31-year-old actress looked cool in a silver metallic dress as she was joined at the event by her co-stars Brandon Michael Hall, Yvette Nicole Brown, Marcel Spears, Bernard David Jones along with the show’s creator Jeremy Bronson.

The Mayor premieres on ABC on Tuesday, October 3.

Lea Michele rocks the fanciest bathrobe at the ABC Tuesday Night Block Party event at the Crosby Street Hotel on Saturday (September 23) in New York City.

The 31-year-old actress was joined by her The Mayor co-stars Brandon Micheal Hall, Yvette Nicole Brown, Marcel Spears, and Bernard David Jones.

Also stepping out for the event were Jason Ritter, JoAnna Garcia Swisher, and Kimberly Hebert Gregory from the new show Kevin (Probably) Saves the World.

The Mayor premieres on October 3.

“I knew Daveed was part of all sorts of community groups and these small collectives doing music together,” Jeremy said during the panel about inspirations for the show. “And then when I read about Chance also starting out doing his poetry in the multi-purpose room of his high school, I thought it was very, very interesting.”
