The 48-year-old Oscar-winning actor is getting Oscar buzz once again for his work in the movie White Boy Rick, which is in theaters now.

Matthew McConaughey joins co-star Richie Merritt on the red carpet at the premiere of their new movie White Boy Rick on Wednesday night (September 12) at the Paris Theater in New York City.

The guys were also joined at the premiere by co-stars Bel Powley, Jonathan Majors, director Yann Demange, and producer Darren Aronofsky. Also stepping out for the premiere was Matt‘s wife Camila Alves.

White Boy Rick follows a teenager who became an undercover informant for the FBI in the 1980s and was ultimately arrested for drug-trafficking and sentenced to life in prison.

The film hits theaters on September 14th.

Matthew was joined at the event by his co-stars Richie Merritt, Bel Powley, RJ Cyler and Jonathan Majors, who was celebrating his birthday.

Matthew McConaughey is opening up about his marriage to Camila Alves!

The 48-year-old actor addressed his expectations before getting married in an interview with Cigar Aficionado.

“I mean, the clock was ticking—I was about to be 40 and my plan was to be married and have kids by that age. But I didn’t want to play the game of starting to feel anxious because, with too much anxiety, you can’t find a mate,” he explained.

“And then you make a hasty decision. I knew men who had made hasty decisions and women who had done the same thing. But at that point, I wasn’t hunting. And then this amazing woman walked across my field of vision and I thought, ‘Who is that?’ And it was Camila.”

The couple became engaged in 2011, and were married in a private ceremony in 2012.

Matthew, who is no stranger to the game of golf, got to walk inside the ropes with some of his favorite professional golfers including the recent winner of the last World Golf Championship in Mexico, Phil Mickelson.

The group stayed all afternoon watching the rigorous competition play out on the course and sailed into the sunset after the tournament wrapped up for the day.
